I dont know about Dorsey. I know that we're not using him at his natural position. You can just blame that on change in philosophy/coaching scheme. Not necessarily Dorsey's fault. Can't exactly expect him to be great at a position he hasn't played, in the best league against the best players.

I'd rather have me some Brandon Spikes, but if the trade was for a sixth or seventh, I'd say take a chance. Although I really really hate Roidman and the thought of him in Chiefs Red and Gold! :Lin:

(Going to take a shower now.)

Red Dawg 10-08-2009 10:30 AM

Hell yes they should. Have you ever seen him play when he's on? He can be a game changer type player. Talk about a 3-4 LB that rush the passer. He is the definition of 3-4 LB

With that said, would you try to acquire him for say a 5th or 6th rounder to have his rights next year if it's uncapped?

Or is he finished at the ripe age of 27?

I think this defense needs someone who can potentially collapse a pocket, so I say yes, but I also get too hung up on guys who performed well years ago.

Thoughs?

I just don't see him being the same guy anymore. I would take a chance with a conditional pick that could become as high as a second round pick if certain requirements were met.

But, it would have to be really stout, like start the last eight games and have at least 10 sacks.

I wouldn't go as high as a 2nd. I'd give them a 5th that has a possibility of becoming a 3rd. He's 27 with knee issues. He's not worth a 2nd.

Merriman's heart would explode at Haley's training camp.

RedThat 10-08-2009 11:05 AM

The Chiefs won't go for Merriman. They're too passive and cheap.

Pablo 10-08-2009 11:07 AM

No. We wouldn't be getting the Roidman of two seasons ago.
