Its funny how everyone thought he was washed up and another geisor (i actually thought he'd be decent for us but not as good as he's been), he's definetly shown he still has skills.

I don't think we have many options better than Chambers. Sign him, but for a reasonable price.

If he keep playing like he has been, absolutely.

keep him

We'll probably overpay for him. But it's worth it, given our cap situation. Frankly, I think Chambers will tail off next year--he did that after a real good half season with San Diego. But we don't need him to be a superstar. We just need him to be a strong stopgap so that we can fill in needs around him.
I'm cool with keeping him one more year, maybe bringing some WR in in the later rounds, and then prioritizing WR as a top priority in 2011. |
There might be competition for his services. The Dolphins might like him back and I believe he liked Miami. He was very sad when he left. He might just retire wearing Aqua and Orange.

Hell yeah, We would be stupid to just let him go. He has done his job and done it well since signing with us. It's a no brainer at this point. He would be great as a slot guy IMO if we can find someone better than him to start with Bowe.

The cap isn't and has NEVER been an issue with ANY NFL team. It's a joke. If the Chiefs WANT to sign Chambers, they'll sign him. And it won't affect the rest of the team one iota. |
Re-sign him and take Danario Alexander if you can get him in the later rounds. That guy could be a steal.
(Yeah, I'm a Mizzou homer... but still) |
