Nothing against Berry personally, but I HATED the pick.

It is very simple... which position historically has had a greater impact left tackle or safety? The Chiefs were in a position to draft a franchise caliber left tackle and passed.

Berry may end up being the next Ronnie Lott but that won't do anything to protect Cassel's blind side.

Your ****ing stupidity knows no bounds

However, if Weis LOVES Clausen, and just couldn't convince them to take him at 5, it'd be hard to tell him no in the 2nd.

The question really becomes did Weis take the Chiefs O coord pos with "certain requirements" to be met?(ala the draft-i.e. Clausen)

The first guy whose titties make me nervous, too. When a young man grows titties that extraordinary, you have to wonder about his priorities.

Precisely why he is not a Pioli right 53 kind of guy because Cody Cans are bigger than Pioli's and Scott can't deal with that kind of competition:D

BTW I thoroughly agree about the Berry pick and hopefully now some of these anti-Pioli morons will layoff for awhile.

I could see them drafting a player like Saffold. Which he'd help but it's not sexy. Claussen or Kindle are on my short list. Kindle falling to us could be a perfect fit. Of course so would Tate.

Totally agree and it always has been this way. I mean how the hell did guys like Schaub and Whitehurst jump from no-name back up QB's to making millions of $$ as starters unless their is 'respected talk behind the scenes'

I gotta say Kindle as the best 3-4 pass rusher in the draft would be a nice pickup. Tate as a slot guy familiar with the system who also returns kicks would also be a great pickup.

I bet we get Saffold with one of our 2nds.

Anyone of these players in any comb of our next 3picks and I will be happy

Kindle
Mays
Saffold
Joseph
Tate

I also kinda like Spikes. Fearless thumper in the middle with attitude. I would love Troup later too. Just really like him for some reason. Little raw, but very strong and big.

mikey23545 04-23-2010 12:26 AM

Give me Kindle and Cody in round 2 and we have reshaped the D for years...

And when the titties are a bouncin' the Chiefs will be trouncin'...

CrazyPhuD 04-23-2010 01:39 AM

Personally would love to see mays and cody in 2, risky but interesting potential, but I wouldn't be unhappy with kindle or tate along the way.

Why should you hate the pick? Historically, 20 years ago, this pick would have been a waste, becuase back then, passing was really not the norm. More of running teams, with setting up to pass.

20 years ago, safety wasn't considered a important position.

Now, it is starting to become a important position, because teams today are fielding 3 WR's or 2 WR's with a very good TE in the middle. That's why safety is important because they are now being asked, not to support the run, but they must also be able to cover.

And as far as Cassel's blind side, we have a LT. Jesus, how many times do we have to tell the true fans, that we have a LT? His name is Brandon Albert, and he will be just fine in the LT spot.

Yeah, he struggled early to mid-season last year, but you should also note that his play was showing positive progress during the end of the season. It's also noted that he had a fantastic rookie year as well.

I'm not one bit concerned about Albert, and I think the guy will deftinaly suprise alot of people this coming season.

The best available player is QB Jimmy Clausen at pick 33 where the Rams sit now. According to the trade value table the 33rd pick is valued at 580 points. Our pick at 36 is 550 points. Our 5B pick would be worth 35 points for a total of 585 points. It could be a seller's market though if enough teams want Clausen, so it could take more than the 5B pick. Also St. Louis needs a DE to replace Little so they may want to use pick 33 on Sergio Kindle (next best available value). I think the Vikings take Clausen if he is still there at 34. Tampa Bay goes with WR Benn or Tate. If KC sits at 36 the best value might be with Saffold.

Looking forward to tomorrow to see how this all unfolds.

this. I can't see us spending 2 picks on safeties this high.

Pioli Zombie 04-23-2010 05:29 AM

Clausen IS great value at 36 so it wouldn't be a bad pick at all if he's available. So how do you like the Tony G trade now? Another pick at 50.
