at some point the law needs to be changed, it doesn't make any sense that they are allowed to do this to people mourning over a lost love one who died in the war.

Best way to handle Fred and his klan is just to ignore them. They're media whores. The bigger a fuss you make over them, the better they like it.

I seriously can't wait to take part in a ride with the PG to honor the fallen/pay my respects, and to shield the family from these religous nuts.

They are scum. To be sure. However, you cannot ban their protests. You're opening a huge can of worms.
