But if you can get it for this year's 1st and 3rd, plus next year's 2nd, it's something you'd have to consider. There's not going to be a great QB candidate that slips to us in this year's draft, IMO. I like Locker and Kaepernick, but they're pretty damn risky either way and both of them would probably have a round worse grades most seasons.
Let's say you can get Jones this season and keep your first for next. You're now sitting in no worse a position to get a similarly talented QB in the 2012 draft.
Generally speaking I'm with you re: the value of the QB. But this draft just isn't shaping up as a good one to make a reach or a bold move at the QB position.

Next year the QB's look to be pretty stout. This *should be Cassel's make or break year, so drafting a stud WR makes sense. However, I'd rather pick up more picks for next year so we have the ammo to move around and grab Foles or make a trade that lucks us into Andrew Luck next year.
Since there's not anyone I see as a can't miss, or that will make our team way better, I'd much rather trade back and pick up a 2nd #1 next year than trade up, even for Julio Jones.
