You really think that Oakland, the team that swept you last season, is contending for the worst team in football with Denver? You were swept by the worst team in the league? Nah - you don't really believe that. The Miller loss hurts a bit less by picking up TE Kevin Boss from NY (already worked out & near to signing). That'd be an awfully long way to fall - from sweeping the division to worst team in the entire league....

Kevin Boss is an average tight end. Without a Pro Bowl QB and elite offense around him he's going to be a giant bag of meh.

Raiders 4-12

some people believe 2 tightends is a good thing ... like payton manning.

of course Chiefs fans hate it, but then again they are smarter about NFL offense than Manning.

They couldn't ****ing re-sign him, and they are STILL over the cap IIRC.

LMAO. way to build a WINNAR

New York Giants in danger of losing free-agent TE Kevin Boss, who works out for Oakland Raiders

http://assets.nydailynews.com/img/20...celebrates.jpg

The salary-cap strapped Giants were on the verge of taking another free-agent hit Wednesday night, when tight end Kevin Boss worked out for the Oakland Raiders.

According to reports, the 27-year-old Boss was impressive in his workout for Raiders coach Hue Jackson and he was still at their camp in Napa, Calif., late Wednesday night. Boss was expected to take a physical, too. It was not immediately known if he was ready to sign a deal.

The Raiders appeared ready, though, one day after they lost their old tight end, Zach Miller, to the Seattle Seahawks. Miller and the 6-6, 253-pound Boss were considered the best tight ends

Kevin Boss to Raiders negotiations in "high gear" and went "late into the night"

Boss has more TD's in 3-years than Miller in 4-years. Miller was Raiders first option, Boss was NYG 4th/5th option.

Boss is a solid pick-up, but a steep downgrade from Miller, at least as far as the passing game is concerned. Still, considering that the Miller thing is over and done, it has to make you feel better about the situation. (Assuming it gets finalized.)
