He basically did nothing in the game of note. The "plays" he made were plays any small RB could have made.

Name something (positive) of note he's done in preseason.

Will this be your auto-response concerning Dex all season regardless of how many plays he makes?

I gave credit to McCluster last year when he made plays.

Stanzi's play made Mecca fall off the Cookie Diet. He was this >< close to a Keith Stone physique

Not to make the comparison, but that Stanzi throw reminds me of what people used to say about Montana "he's two or three seconds ahead of everybody else."

To do that at NFL game speed is pretty impressive IMO. Stanzi must have developed the ability to react to coverages extremely quickly in college.

Three year BigTen starter

3-0 in bowl games

A preseason game isnt exactly the biggest stage hes played on.

ROFL

Yeah, he gained three yards on it....almost broke it for six, though.

It would be easier to hear your side of it if you didn't highlight every single mistake by McCluster like the world is ending and ignore his positives by saying "any small RB could have made." He made them. Thats all that matters. They guy has looked decent during preseason. Doesn't mean he is sick or will be a 2nd round talent, but he has helped our offense this preseason and thats all that matters. As long as they don't let him interupt Charles, he is going to be a positive.

Same thing with Stanzi. I love would he has done so far. Honestly the guy looks great all things considered with the Oline and being a rookie. Problem is when people highlight his good plays like they were all insane, and don't mention the mistakes or give the same credit to Palko or Cassel on quality plays, its hard to read the Stanzi lovers posts and feel you are getting an objective opinion.

play a longer version of the clip and you'll see the man that tackled him, if DMC had him beat, that would have gone for 6.

Thing about it is, we get excited about Stanzi's throws. The accuracy and strength he throws them with. His mechanics, poise, mobility. All that.

Sorry, I'm not going to give Palko credit for making plays all whilst performing fade away jump throws. It's not going to work against real competition in the regular season. This is why I refuse to give any credence to Palko's play.

As for Matty Light, well, he has a weak arm, doesn't go through his reads, no pocket presence and freaks out when he feels a breeze.

Excuse me for being excited about having a real QB on the roster for once.
