Not really. They know more than you think. I know Filipinos who make 600 dollars a month but they save up and get authentic Lakers and Bulls Jerseys. They follow the NBA very closely and I am sure the NBA and owners do take that into account. |

And I miss the NBA but I realize the majority of people on this forum hate the NBA as much or more than they hate soccer. It is what it is. |

Don't care if they stay away a month or a year. |
What I wanna know is...how do contract situations work out? Like Dwight Howard is in the last year of his contract with Orlando. If this season is entirely cancelled, will the season not count? I just wanted to see him play his last season (probably) on my team.

What demographic do you suggest that would be more representative? |
I would rather watch someone play NBA Jams.

As popular as the NFL is, there's still an asston of people who watch 1 football game per year so they can see the new commercials and halftime show, and that's usually the only sporting event they'll go out of their way to watch all year. And I'm part of the 24%. I'm not dying every day because they're not playing, but I do miss it. I'll miss it a helluva lot more after the Super Bowl, though. Then even more after the NCAA Tournament's over, if the lockout lasts that long. |
I love that its gone. More time in the media for college hoops, NHL, and other sports. The NBA is outdated and mundane. I liked it at one time, but its unwatchable anymore. It's time as a major sport has passed. It's nothing but a soap opera of egos, dunks, and 5000 whistles a night
