Honestly was very surprising to me that they won the four they did.

Like I said, you're not going to find someone on the FA trail to replace Eric Berry and Jamaal Charles. But surely the Executive of the Decade can use all that cap space to find someone better than Sabby Piscitelli, Jackie Battle and Leonard Pope to back them up (I know a lot of people like Battle, but I'm not sold...).

Bingo.

How many does it take?

I suspect two more of these embarrassments and a lot of people are going to start looking for their pitchforks.

I'm probably going to keep holding out hope, because I want them to succeed, but if our QB depth chart still reads

QB1: Cassel
QB2: Stanzi
QB3: Palko

during Week 1 of 2012, I'm pretty much done. Like I said, QB's not the only problem, but it can cover a lot of problems, of which we have many. Pioli outta know that by now.

Casserole receives too much blame. Not to say he is not part of the problem but there are other problems as well. Outside of Hali, Chiefs have no pass rush. I'm convinced DJ will never be a great Linebacker. As much as people praise him he doesn't possess the instincts to be great. I'd like to see the defense a little more revamped by adding another pass rusher and another inside linebacker that could elevate this defense to another level.

Really?

This is the post you are going with?

How do you build a team through the draft. If you don't give your drafties enough time to prove themselves? The first batch is just getting to year 3

Well, if they are going to run a bend but don't break style of defense, then yeah I'd like too see another pass rusher brought in here.

#3 overall is just starting to get it :)

13 times in 40 games.

That's even worse than Herm. By my count his teams got dominated 10 times in 49 games.

Yep, these guys have a penchant for getting dominated. Let's review:

2009

Ravens 38, Chiefs 24 - A "close game," but the Chiefs get outgained 501-188. Total domination by the Ravens.

Eagles 34, Chiefs 14 - Outgained 420-196. Cassel has a 124.5 QB rating, cus he's awesome.

Giants 27, Chiefs 16 - The Chiefs score two garbage time TDs that makes the score appear closer than it really was. 429-212.

Chargers 37, Chiefs 7 - Pitiful. 403-203.

Chargers 43, Chiefs 13 - Disgusting. 426-284.

Broncos 44, Chiefs 13 - Appalling. 413-222.

2010

Broncos 49, Chiefs 29 - Suddenly, smart fans realize Pioli and Haley are huge frauds.

Chargers 31, Chiefs 0 - 426-67. Brodie Croyle, you say? I say, look at the first game of 2009. No excuses for this.

Raiders 31, Chiefs 10 - 344-201

Ravens 30, Chiefs 7 - Hey, look! 32 games into the Pioli era and the Chiefs are still getting their asses kicked by the Baltimore Ravens! 390-161.

2011

Bills 41, Chiefs 7 - 364-213

Lions 48, Chiefs 3 - 411-267

Dolphins 31, Chiefs 3 - 351-343. I didn't even realize it was possible to match an opponent yard for yard and lose by 28 with NO TURNOVERS.

Summary:

Haley is 18-23 counting the 2010 Baltimore Ravens playoff scrimmage. In 13 of his 23 losses the team has been outright dominated. And THE MAJORITY of those blowouts have come in the last two years when the Chiefs were supposedly "getting better."

Seven of those losses have come at home, meaning that at least twice a year, Arrowhead Stadium season ticket holders can count on witnessing a complete embarrassment. That's 25% of their gameday experiences for the year. One quarter of the time, Haley and Pioli embarrass Arrowhead Stadium.

Future potential blowouts:

@ New England
Pittsburgh
@Chicago
@New York
Green Bay
Oakland

So I see started 2-14. U got a reason for this rhyme?

Iconic 11-09-2011 11:48 PM

Pioli is not the problem.

Who traded for Matt Cassel?

Yeah, he only hired Haley and traded for Cassel.

And Crennel's bend but don't break scheme in a league with rules that favor offence so heavily is an outdated plan that is asking to be abused.

Bill Maas had an interesting take and he said it's from someone in the coaching staff, that with Berry out, McGraw out, Lewis dinged they are having to drop more players into coverage to mask a really bad pair of safeties and nickel back. Said plays where we did blitz the blitzers didn't get there and there were some huge plays off of those.

Right now there's two problems. Hali is our only pass rusher and and the secondary other than Flowers and Carr completely blows.

So he's 1-2 pretty much what you would expect.

I blame him only for hiring Haley. Who I have despised since day one because he's just not HC materiel. I believe Cassel was supposed to be the answer, but obviously hasn't turned out, and will now play the role as a stop gap QB. Pioli builds through the draft. In the next three years you will see Stanzi develop on the bench with Zorn and Pioli continue to draft players who will help him when he takes the field. Mark it down.
