Text of Todd Haley statement

The former Chiefs coach released a statement through his agent. It reads:
“First, I would like to thank Clark Hunt and the kansas city chiefs for giving me the opportunity to coach this historic franchise. Growing up in the NFL, watching my Dad help build those great Pittsburgh Steeler teams, I have a profound love for this league. This opportunity has been a dream come true.
F/U PIOLI!
I would like to sincerely thank my coaches and my players for their commitment and loyalty throughout my time with the chiefs.
F/U PIOLI!
I would like to thank all of the great chiefs fans. my wife chrissy and i would also like to thank the city of kansas city for welcoming us and our 5 children and making us feel at home.
F/U PIOLI!
I am proud to have been a part of continued improvement and the first afc west title since 2003. this year has been extremely challenging, but despite losing several key players to injury and free agency, we have been able to remain competitive and remain in contention with 3 games remaining in the season. i wish the coaches and players good luck down the stretch.
F/U PIOLI!
NFL football is extremely competitive. Being hired and fired is part of this business. i want to thank everyone for their support and i look forward to my next opportunity in this great league."

I think we need to read between the lines!
:D

SofaKing stoopid you are. Who gives a **** how he acts on the sideline but you? I love the way he acts. Much how I might act. Why shouldn't I? B/c of the media and my public perception? **** that. If I'm pissed, you'll know it. Get out of my way, pussy.

If you can back it up with coaching chops, you can do that. If not, you get fired and not hired as a head coach again.

Haley is such a class act. Until he starts groping the waitresses at the Waffle House.

Well, I would not have fired Haley but, if there is a silver lining, it probably clears the path for a legit Offensive Coordinator to come in here and, maybe, a different Defensive Coordinator.

I'd hate to see Romeo go. We need a new OC, but any new HC is going to want his own crew. Sorry Romeo, it was nice.

kcxiv 12-12-2011 08:11 PM

It all starts with the QB. QB specialists qb fixers cant fix Cassel. He's just not fixable. doesnt matter WHO The coach is if we dont get or attempt to get a franchise qb.

don`t you people understand pioli set todd up to fail, for pushing charlie out, thats why todd was not given players.Say what you will but that was so clear to see after the playoff loss, refer to the book war room.

Actually, I think the Chiefs can do better than Romeo Crennel. I understand that the offense hasn't contributed much (anything!) but great defenses have to generate pressure and the Chiefs have not done enough of that in Crennel's system.

Agreed. Bend but don't break defenses don't work in this league unless they play opposite a prolific offense.

Let's see what Hunt does. He said something to the effect that he needed to start doing his part. Hopefully that means breaking from the scrooge mcduck routine.

What DC would we bring in to run an attacking 34. You know he will be required to do that so?

What do you mean by that? "You Chiefs fans" have sod-all to do with any personnel decisions. No one in the front office, on the coaching staff, or on the team has ever given a flip about the opinions expressed on ChiefsPlanet.
