Hmmm. IIRC, yesterday Golic was pimping the Texans.

The Chiefs already have said they have interest in bringing in a quarterback to compete against Matt Cassel. Signing Manning would end any competition, but it would excite the Chiefs' season-ticket holders and bring a buzz to the franchise.

the bold part is why he ends up in KC.
it's not gonna be up to Scott Pioli it's gonna be up to Clark.

So if something good happens it is Clark, but something bad is Pioli? Got you.

He would relish getting to play the Pats twice a year while having a good defense that didn't require him to have to put up 30+ points every game to have a chance to win like he always had to do with the Colts. As for that team being dysfunctional, keep in mind he will be leading that entire team from day one. He will command respect and will receive it from everyone.

I think the Jets and Chiefs are the two spots that make the most sense for him. Hope it is the Chiefs but Jets make a ton of sense.

not saying that at all, just saying Clark isn't stupid enough to let Peyton get way because Pioli has a hard on for Cassel.

I thought Golic pitched it to Greenberg, and Greenie mulled it over and said, "You've convinced me."

So he doesnt become the enemy in Indy? That would be my guess. People keep saying that he would to stick it up thier ass twice a year, but after his press conference yesterday, I think he wants to respect his legacy in Indy and the fanbase.

BossChief 03-08-2012 08:21 AM

Truth is, if they want him in KC, we will get him in KC.

Jets don't have the monies.

I believe they are already showing that they want him.

It's how bad they want him and whether or not Manning thinks it's a good fit.

Golic was talking this morning about how awesome it would be to see Manning in KC, just like Joe Montana he said...

Montana said the same thing but when we played the 49'ERs he all but asked DT to fist Young with a sandpaper glove...
