Personally I think the impact it has on the World Series is stupid. If I am a contending NL team or fan I really do not want to see someone from the Cubs, Astros, or Padres deciding whether my team gets home field advantage

I would rather see this than the Pro Bowl where the players make a half hearted at best attempt to play or win the game. Here at least there is incentive for most of the players to make an effort.

I would like to be there, but no way I can justify paying those prices. I'll probably be watching it from the cheap seats at home like normal.

Do we think they will be selling all the all star player Jerseys at the team store? Not just royals player.

I'm in favor of the home field advantage thing.

Not only does the game become more compelling, Its technically not fair to give the team with the best record HFA because the two leagues don't play by the same rules.

& I think everyone cares. No one wants to **** up the game for the entire league.

They switched to making HFA for the winner because in 2008? The game went like 14 innings before selig called it a tie because there wasn't anyone left to pitch. The managers had played everyone trying to appeal to the fans and there literally wasn't anyone left to play. That's when Selig took backlash because he called the game and made the change to "this time it counts"

My opinion was "so call it a draw." I'll never believe the ASG should determine HFA.

After reading up on it, wow my history is off. It was 2002 and it was after 11 innings.

Why? It's the only all star game that means anything. I know you're a purist but it at least makes the game a little more meaningful and puts some(while not a lot) strategy into it.

Phobia 06-28-2012 10:53 PM

I think if a buddy offered me a free ticket I'd probably pass.

Two-Twenty 06-28-2012 11:06 PM

Im also in favor of the ASG determining HFA in the NBA.

Good for KC - where are all of the All-Stars staying, The Adams Mark? lol. Big Ballin' - they really need to add some nice places to the stadium area, it looks like ass. No offense, but it's not that nice for a stadium surrounding. But i still think it's pretty cool and a great immediate stadium for the event.

Simply Red 06-29-2012 12:42 AM

Royal's Stadium is about the prettiest ball park.

no, not really
