Long way to go but Duke is leading at Virginia Tech 20-7. If they win Duke will be 6-1 and bowl eligible. They haven't been to a bowl game since 1995.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that when Spurrier coached them?

I think he was well off to Florida by then. Duke also played in a bowl in '89... and I think that was Spurrier. That's their only two bowl appearances in the last 50 years. Their last bowl win was the Cotton Bowl in 1961.

Good to know the refs are trying to protect KState. Not calling PI or roughing the passer.. Finding a phantom "targeting" penalty that wasn't there.
