If Pioli is around and Cassel clears, it will be Cassel

If you want to get this turned around this season, you do this.

-2006 Titans started 0-3. Rookie VY comes in and leads 8-5 finish.
-2009 Titans started 0-6. VY comes in and leads 8-2 finish.

VY is 31-19 as a starter and would be a perfect pairing with Jamaal Charles, his teammate on the 2005 national champion Texas team.

That's the Jeff Fisher propoganda. Fisher got VY run out of TN despite the fact he had a career high 99 passer rating and was the only reason they were winning games. Where has TN and Chris Johnson been since?

VY is a winner and leader. His record proves it. He's Tebow with an NFL arm.

Dude, seriously??

So why has he not gone on to another team and lit up the NFL?

I think we can all get on board with this.

What chance has he had? Coming in for 3 games in place of Vick? And he beat the Giants and threw for 400 on the Patriots despite the limited time with the Eagles.

This man was at his peak his final two years with the Titans and has not been given a chance since. He's only 29 and is in great shape. He is DEFINITELY better than Cassel and Quinn. You cannot make a rational argument that he isn't.

Ok, I'll play along. Let's say that pussholy scoops up VY who comes in, plays lights out & wins 7 games. The Chiefs finish the season at 8-8 just missing the playoffs. You are the owner of this team in this scenario so, now what do you do going into the offseason to get ready for 2013?

Bump 10-15-2012 11:50 AM

as long as Pioli is here, Cassel is here.

Sure I can.

He couldn't hit water if he fell out of the boat. And gee, could the Chiefs go and pick up another scrub QB off the streets. That's what they have done for the LAST 30 FRICKIN' YEARS DUMBASS!!!

If I think we are close to playoff-caliber with VY, I build the team around him in 2013. If not, I maybe keep him to start the season but draft a QB to groom.

I'll tell you right now. VY and Chris Johnson were a lethal combination in TN, going 12-6 in 2009-10 on teams that were 2-12 when VY didn't start. VY and Jamaal Charles would wreck shop. And VY has one of the best deep ball %'s in the NFL. The whole offense opens up when you put him in.

ESPN QBR for VY's final two seasons in TN:

2009

1. Peyton Manning - 82.9
2. Drew Brees - 79.7
3. Philip Rivers - 74.7
4. Vince Young - 70.3
5. Matt Schaub - 70.3
6. Aaron Rodgers - 70.2
7. Eli Manning - 69.8
8. Ben Roethlisberger - 67.3
9. Kurt Warner - 67.3
10. Brett Favre - 66.4

2010

1. Tom Brady - 76.8
2. Vince Young - 70.6
3. Matt Ryan - 69.5
4. Aaron Rodgers - 69.2
5. Peyton Manning - 68.6
6. Michael Vick - 68.0
7. Eli Manning - 65.9
8. Drew Brees - 65.3
9. Josh Freeman - 64.7
10. Ben Roethlisberger - 64.1

I know that retread we have now will probably throw for 4k this year and if the Cheaps had a retread like that they would be winning....:thumb:
