and people just see the results a year later, but forget what kind of sacrifices this guy made, he spent an entire year/offseason doing what it took to end up where he is today

He did what it took to get back, because he is paid as such and has earned everything. A real pro athlete.

People said the exact same stuff about Manning, dude. Just about everybody thought he would only be a fraction of his former self if he could even play at all.

no they said that he would be weak/out of shape. Every doctor in the world pretty much said him jamming stem cells into his neck would heal it. The part was he sat out the NFL for a year, and would need to play the neck back into strength.

He didnt rip his neck off and lay there on the field like AP did with his leg. His leg is ****ing backwards. Backwards. Like never play again backwards.

This has nothing to do with Manning bashing.

The Donkeys are probably the second best team in the AFC right now (debatable with Houston, since they can get after the QB and Manning has always struggled with 34 defenses that can pressure the QB and disrupt the timing of his offense), but they have achieved their record due to a soft schedule since the 6th game of the season.

AP has carried that Viking team, with no one respecting the pass in a passing league.

CrazyPhuD 12-16-2012 05:23 PM

Matt Cassel and it's not even close.

If he didn't comeback down to earth this year how many more years would we have had to put up with his mediocrity?

Jon Ekstrom ‏@JonEkstrom
From @RLiuNFL Adrian Peterson’s 1,313 rush yards are most in @nfl history over 8 game span in single season. #MVPeterson

No Cassel option?

I'd give Manning the MVP over Peterson though because he has helped his team win more games.

Even though he really hasn't beaten any teams worth a shit until today.

Hootie 12-16-2012 08:22 PM

wait, what?

How would AP win comeback player of the year?

He played in every game last year. He was injured in the final game.

I don't think he fits this criteria.

That's true.

Sorry Milkman, but you are. Your hate for Manning often clouds your judgment when debating Manning.

This is something you've never understood.

I like the guy a lot.

I think he's a helluva regular season QB, and is someone who would probably enjoy having a beer with.

I also know he's the greatest playoff choker among the all time great QBs.

Hootie 12-16-2012 08:29 PM

Fair enough.

I'll just agree to disagree. Now, Brady is kind of a victim of circumstance but the records show...he hasn't won anything since spygate (2004).
