I hope the Eagles figure out there is no market for Foles at the price they are asking and we trade a 3rd for him.

That's a good point. If this is a matter of honor we're dealing with, the 49ers were huge ****ing tools for leaking the interest in the first place.

Would this be a violation of any rule, written or unwritten?

Would other teams not trust the FO? (They didn't sign anything yet, so I can't see this....)

All is fair in Love & War?

just out of curiosity have you ever been punched for backing out on a deal?

And obtw- this would stick with the Hunt fam, not just the FO.

and one more thing -- Alex Smith was this org's best option.

Technically, we arent commited to a god damn thing with ****-o Smith. Hey, I like that; Geno the awesome chocolate penii-Smith, and Alex "****-o" Smith. The deal is done.

If this ****-o franchise FINALLY laid some "No more Mr. Nice Guy"-wood on the NFL, I would PERSONALLY go suck Reid's fat dick!

We won't violate anything for backing out of the trade, and more importantly, if it turns out San Francisco was the culprit for announcing the trade early (we know the Chiefs don't talk deals until they are done) the evidence is on them releasing the info to drive up Alex Smith's worth to gain a better bargain on him, in which case I'd be inclined to back out if my need wasn't as bad as it is.

We needed a vet to show Geno the ropes. We spent our first two picks on the biggest need QB

They have every right to back out or renegotiate the terms. I wish they would, but they won't. Nobody is willing to offer anywhere near what we did for him so it wouldn't be a bad thing to offer less knowing that they have to cut him anyways if noone trades for him.

Pasta Little Brioni 03-04-2013 06:43 PM

I'm hoping the trade is good, but the compensation was falsely reported. A 4th and a conditional 2nd would be easier to swallow and would keep Geno well in play. I know, I know wishful thinking.

Good Lord. If a deal was actually agreed upon we're not backing out.

The only question left is what we do with the first pick.
