Eh, I'll take talented players and go from there.

He will end up in Minnesota, where they still run the Tampa 2.

Watch.

I'd much rather have Ogletree, Minter, Bostic, or Klein in the other MLB position.

I was struck by how shallow we are at linebacker. We only have six under contract. The only three that I consider locks are Hali, Johnson, and Houston.

The other three (Studebaker, Greenwood, and Sturdivant) are nothing to write home about and could easily be upgraded.

Even if we kept all six for a 34 defense we will likely need two more. But my guess is that we'll draft a couple and sign a couple free agents because I don't see us not trying to upgrade. We need one starter inside and at least two upgrades for depth, IMO.

Reid isnt a big believer in investing too much into backers, he prefers the biggest investments be in the line and secondary.

I bet we see something of a make due approach at linebacker this year.

"The Bears fired a coach who won 10 games last year, so it’s no surprise they’re taking a “just-a-business” approach.

But the way they treated Brian Urlacher on the way out the door borders on insulting.

Urlacher told Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune the Bears offered him a one-year deal that topped out at $2 million, meaning that amount wasn’t guaranteed."

I bet Dustin Colquitt calls him up and laughs. HA HA and I'm a punter.

Would be great, in 1958.

Well remember their GM Emery was part of Piolis staff. This should just about sum things up.

So IF this is it for him, is he a HOF'er?

http://www.pro-football-reference.co...U/UrlaBr00.htm

One of only four players with 40 sacks and 20 int's

8 time pro-Bowler, 4 time All-Pro, 2000 AP Defensive rookie of the year, 2005 AP NFL Defensive player of the year. 1 SB game, no ring.

13 seasons but missed virtually all of 2009 with injury.

182 games, 85 PD, 11 FF, 15 FR, 1 TD and 1052 tackles equates out to 5.61 tackles per game. Compared to Ray Lewis 228 games played, 1573 tackles 6.89 tackles per game.

You need to be Ray Lewis good to be a HOF LB.

I don't think he's that good.

No, having two pro-bowl, athletic LB's sounds awful. No thanks.

BossChief 03-20-2013 09:54 PM

Urlacher was PERFECT for the position he played in the scheme they ran. He had the speed of a safety and the body of a linebacker and that's why that defense was so good for so long.

Unfortunately, those days are gone.

If I were him, I'd hang em up...but I can see him going to Minnesota. He knows the division and they run the cover2.
