What is there to like about Dexter McCluster, other than the fact he's a Chief?
This I do not get. Can he get in the car with Alex? |
A 49ers fan posted this over on their board in response to this. LMAO

When I saw that advertisement with the 49ers fan giving the pep talk to the team and Alex gave that sideways look , then Harbaugh came in and said, "What's going on? The fan said "Sorry, I got carried away" Alex gave that sideways look. (cracked me up} and Harbaugh says "I think we are good". Alex had that look of confidence. He actually reminded me alot of Rogers. I know we need our own KC born QB, but I think we are ok until we do. Reid wanted him. He has played well the last couple years. I remember when Green came from the Redskins to the chiefs, He was not popular. He ended up being a stable QB. Alex will be too. I am confident of that. Between now and the next couple years, we will have the QB of our dreams. Give the changes that have been made A CHANCE.

There are classic stories of youth sports where the coach has his son on the team. The coach then elevates his son above the other athletes in the lineup, bench, or gameplan. The son, however, actually really sucks but the coach can't see that. The other players grow to hate him because they lose a lot. That's who Dex is. He gets all these special plays drawn up for him even though we've got someone who's faster, quicker, and is better at creating big plays in space than he is. Yet coaches keep drinking Dex's kool-aid almost like a father favors his son. That's why people hated Cassel, too. That was how Pioli treated him. |

And he was very popular when he arrived. His poor play is what made him unpopular that first year. Alex can and should expect exactly the same if he yuks it up 2001 Trent Green-style |

I know Green came to the chiefs from the Rams, but I remember him more from his struggles with the redskins.
