At the time money was to be made, not having them graded was better. Then you could haggle over shit and make money.

My Grandfather has made tons of money doing coin sales. You get say a 1909-s VDB wheatie, you almost have to send it off.

Different thing

I have a closet full of shit I have to move from time to time. Does that count?

Most of the stars from the 80s & 90s RC's are in there with some big sections of the big stars. The Brett, Cal, Ryan, Jr., Jordan, & Hakeem collections are ridiculous. Especially the Hakeem, it's a monster... wtf was I thinking?? I figure it's all worthless, but maybe some kid will enjoy it some day.

I always liked the card with Jr, his brother, and Sr. on it. It's probably worth a whole 10 cents, but I always found it interesting.

Is a ball with the '85 team sigs on it worth much?

I have/had several tobacco cards but the rarest was a Griffey Jr 2nd year Topps card.

I know, you are going WTF? 1990 Topps rare?LMAO

What separates it was a gold stamp labeled "Desert Storm". Topps gave them out to the troops during Desert storm. Needless to say, not too many of the baseball cards given out to the troops in a war zone survived.

****ing bullshit.

I just saw 2 Griffeys from UD 89 go for $126 a piece...same day

I have a 1989 Fleer baseball set that is worth about forty five cents

Deberg_1990 08-30-2013 10:48 PM

I have a Mark McGwire rookie. I should have sold it high like 14 years ago.

I have several of the newspapers featuring him on the front page during the HR chase. I should probably wipe my ass with them.

While it was worth more than I'm sure, it's still a little money maker.

Junk wax era is exactly what it's called, but there are a few worth while cards from 89-91. Just not many.

When I was seriously collecting in the mid 90's my father-in-law made this frame and my wife did the painting to display some of my cards. I have about 20-30 high quality cards I rotate through the display.

Where is this happening? I remember selling them for about 100 in the heyday of cards

Consistent1 08-31-2013 08:17 AM

That 83 Topps traded Strawberry was a bitch to get. I only had like 5 of them ever.
