Eh. I'm pretty happy we got Bray. I would have been happy to get to draft any of the quarterbacks even as lousy of a draft class this is. I know they don't have to start right away but develop them as if they were going to get the opportunity anyways. That shoulder on Matt Barkley put him at a high risk to take. Don't take any risk but we don't have any reward with Alex Smith. I think Matt Barkley arm could hold up with the advancement in medical field just like Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles legs holding up. |

There was a time when the Oakland Raiders believed Tyler Wilson was a realistic option at quarterback. On Monday, the Raiders signed him to their practice squad.
Wilson was cut Sunday. One day later, the 2013 fourth-round draft pick passed through waivers unclaimed. Former NFL scout John Middlekauff appropriately summed it up: It's been that type of summer for Wilson, who struggled in all aspects of the game as he fell behind Terrelle Pryor, Matt Flynn and fellow rookie Matt McGloin. Wilson -- a subject of conversation in the latest "Around The League Podcast" -- now will have to settle for the practice squad. As for matters related to the Raiders' 53-man roster, coach Dennis Allen told reporters Monday that he wouldn't announce the Week 1 starting QB for "competitive reasons." However, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport -- citing a source informed of the move -- reported Monday night that Raiders coaches have informed players that Pryor will start Sunday. Rapoport said Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Olson has taken a liking to the second-year pro. Playing behind a leaky offensive line, Pryor's mobility gives the Raiders their best chance to win on a weekly basis. "So you're telling me there's a chance ..." |
How bad do you have to be to lose to McGroin?

I watched him and could not see any positives in his game. I was looking hard too. We won't know for awhile but it looks like we played the QBs in this years draft class properly. As in we didn't waste a pick on inferior prospects.

I heard today that Wilson is the highest draft pick yet (2013 draft) to be cut by a team.
So the Raiders have that going for them. LMAO. |

2011 traded a 1st and 2nd round pick for Carson Palmer 2011 gave a 3rd round pick in supplemental draft for Pryor 2013 traded Palmer to Arizona for a swap of 6th and 7th round picks, in other words, nothing. 2013 traded for Matt Flynn giving up a 5th and a conditional pick later. 2013 drafted Tyler Wilson in the 4th round and cut him. Flynn loses starting job to Pryor. So far I think Oakland has used a 1st a 2nd a 3rd a 4th and a 5th round draft pick the last 3 years to end up with Pryor and Flynn at QB and everything I have read neither have any chance of being a quality NFL starter. But hey they 'tried" right? |
I'm really surprised that no one has demolished RunKC in here yet. He was a big Wilson fan.
