QB upgrade? Depends on your definition . Lack of turnovers says yes. All other indicators say status quo.

Still don't want to trade him?

htismaqe 11-12-2013 12:01 PM

Dude is having an "off" season and just got arrested for marijuana.

Who the **** would want him?

No. I like being able to sign free agents in the offseason.

Learn how the cap works, dude.

but Bowe is "high"

o:-)

His production this year and last year was already making it look like paying him was a risky decision.

This sort of reminds me of the Flacco discussion in another thread. Flacco got a huge contract based on getting hot during that one postseason. Bowe is getting paid like 2010 was a typical season for him, even though he's never lived up to that again.

I like him and wanted us to re-sign him, but there seems to be a lot more risk here than we originally thought.

hay guys we should trade bowe for calvin johnson and then we could trade avery for dez bryant and then peyton brady would want to come play for us for free and superbowl

so maybe the previous administration was correct in being reluctant to give Bowe big money?

Pioli and the rest of those clowns were following the process they did with Brandon Carr, of franchising a player and then letting them walk just because they didn't draft him, or whatever their reasoning was for not wanting to keep good players around. They were going to let Bowe and Albert walk for nothing.

I wanted us to re-sign Bowe, but he's going to be in the spot Jared Allen was where if he has yet another dumbass moment he'll be out for a season, right?

I think we did the right thing, but he does seem to be overpaid, and hopefully he doesn't end up making fools of us.

Didn't they sign Flower, Charles and Hali?

they weren't drafted by them

The grumpiness, is strong in this thread.

Bowe, is not, a number one receiver.

Hes an over paid number 2. I got crushed for stating he could be cut.

This might very well lead to that.
