Simple game plan on offense.

Do what you do well, bring in Sherman, line up in thd I formation, and get the ball in Charles's hands.

On defense, limited blitzing.
Generate pressure with stunts and overloads, and mug the receivers at the line.

Anyone expecting to win this game onv the arm of Alex Smith, including Andy Reid, is a moron.

Unless our OL comes out and plays out of their minds, I think we are gonna have a tough time running on them.

Step 1. Smash Manning like a box of chiclets in a fat girl's back pocket
Step 2. Score Points
Step 3....Profit

CaliforniaChief 11-10-2013 10:48 PM

1. Tell Von Miller that his next court date is Sunday night at Invesco Field.

2. Have the team take the field with a Papa John's pizza hoisted high, only to set it down on the 50 and have Dontari Poe drop a massive, steaming deuce on it.

3. Show the team pictures of Peyton Manning's ankle and hang them all over the locker room.

In all seriousness, the ability to unleash Jamaal WILL determine the outcome from our side. But I think that in order to do that, we'll have to open them up early by at least trying to throw downfield.

And honestly, there's going to be so much buildup about the Chiefs playing small ball and Denver being the big play offense that I wouldn't be surprised to see us try to go down the field early.

I'd go nickel/dime pkg most of the day with a mix of fronts.

I would not change what the offense is doing. pass to set up the run. this week, the Chiefs WR's need to catch everything. everything, or they won't have a chance in this one. peyton is going to get his points, if the Chiefs can keep up or get ahead early, they have a chance.

They need 17 points min first half or this one will be over before it gets started.

Rain Man 11-10-2013 10:57 PM

I think the key to this game will be our offense. We know what our defense can do and we know what their offense can do. The key will be our offense taking the game to their defense, preferably on the ground.

Oh, and as Step 1 I would place an anonymous call to Von Miller telling him that the DEA has found out what's going on, and they're heading to his house. That's the last we'll ever see of Mr. High Times.

Give up, 'cuz Alex Smith
Upside, we're all a little more psychologically prepared for the assured playoff dismantling.

Defense

Creative blitzes.
pressure from the front 7 to collapse the pocket.
DB's HAVE to be physical at the LOS. They will get frustrated.
Be smart and see the picks coming.
Do NOT run ANY cover 2 or zone at all.

Offense

Run Charles to the outside on sweeps.
Run the screen with Bowe, Charles and Avery.
Use the TE's consistently.

Iowanian 11-10-2013 11:11 PM

1. Give Andy Reid and staff 2 weeks to prepare for this game.
2. #25 has fresh legs and 30 touches.

TinyEvel 11-10-2013 11:11 PM

Rushing Peyton on his blindside is critical. All the times I've seen the devastating sacks of Peyton, somebody comes in from the left and just flat-out surprises him. That's when the ball comes out.

He gives a quick look at the rushers, then starts his progressions. Somebody like Tamba or berry or ??? Zipping in from the left = domination. All my blitzes would be left-side.

I'm going with this as the right plan. I still don't think it wins in the end, but it's our best shot, so it's what I'm hoping we see.

I really want to see more sweeps and pitches for Charles. The way the line has been run blocking, dives (and others of the sort) are almost pointless. Charles exceeds at finding holes and making defenders miss in space.

BossChief 11-10-2013 11:22 PM

1) convert a lot of third downs and keep their offense off the field.
2) take advantage of every opportunity. No dropped picks, no dropped receptions or fumbles that we don't recover.
3)We need to protect the ball...no fumbles or picks.
4) we need to find a way to attack their secondary because they are easier to throw on than run on.
5) press man coverage
6) the pass rush has to get there. There will be times we send 6 or 7 blitzers and they need to make the play when we do. Poe, Houston and Hali are gonna be huge in us having a chance to beat that ass.

Psyko Tek 11-10-2013 11:29 PM

DO NOT ELECT TO RECEIVE

red on red if possible

crossbow 11-10-2013 11:31 PM

Pressure up the middle. He isn't nearly as accurate when he moves to the side and when he does so he moves into Houston or Hali (bad options). Plus it gives our corners a chance to intercept and it screws up the timing of those quick slant patterns.

Offense should run traps to counter the run blitzing that they will want to do. It is too late in the season to hope for a 30 point outburst from the offense so take what you can get and ride to success on the coat-tails of the defense and special teams again.
