Coopers inexperience has really come back on him, he's having a legit sophomore slump... and now we've got yet another absolute unknown on every teams best receiver, fml.

Dorsey better not nickel and dime at this spot next year.

You can't call it a sophmore slump when he was never any good to begin with. There was nothing to slump from.

I seriously don't think we have a single CB I'd want starting in a playoff game.

Our pass rush has really masked that weakness so far. Manning of course did what he wanted to do.

I'm not ready to give up on the guy and doubt this coaching staff is either, he flashed too many good things that rookie year.

Now, he may never again be a #1... but I'd bet theres still a future for him here.

Our first round draft pick is playing for Cinci and looking respectable...

He flashed SOME good things against the weakest span of QB's the Chiefs had seen in years. Once a QB that could actually throw the ball downfield tested him, he melted and was relentlessly abused over and over again.

Stevie Johnson bitch slapping him and tossing him out of the way was the last straw.

Sure, i hope he develops into something special. Not holding my breath.

Hell yes. Are you saying he's not? We barely hear about him throughout a game because he's covering his guy so well.

Chiefs defensive coordinator Bob Sutton admitted that Cooper was benched for performance reasons as he explained the switch.

"Well, obviously, we just thought that we needed to [make the switch]," Sutton said (via quotes from the Chiefs). "Coop has obviously had some issues in there, but I think the other part, Fleming has practiced really well for us since he's been here. We kind of said, ‘Hey, we need to see if this guy can play.' As it turned out we had a couple new guys in there.

"But yeah, that was kind of the driving force of it. It wasn't just Coop not playing as well as we'd like. It was also Fleming showing us in practice and going against our first offense and that for a couple weeks, maybe this guy deserves a look and so we said, ‘Hey, let's take a look and see how it will turn out.'"
Huh. Just flat came out and said Cooper was sucking. That's unusual in the Reid regime.

Good call.

Cooper needs lots of work on awareness and technique. No, he's not nearly as good as we all hoped early on. The good news is, the kid has the size, speed, and mental toughness to get his shit together and play well in this scheme. Whether this year or next, he can still be a starter. Very least, he can be a good backup. It's not like the Chiefs had to pay top dollar for him anyway.

Great article on how Gaines played last week. That speed and length is helping him big time. Hope he keeps this up

He's playing pretty well.

Paul Palmer... We drafted him in the first and Okoye in the 2nd. All I remember about PP was he did the nestea plunge as a td celebration.

The Rams have Kenny Britt? Man, that guy's looking to cost me a lot of money in my celebrity death pool this year.
