There isn't a single player on that list that I miss.

Fisher continues to improve each week and should be playing near a Pro Bowl level in 2015. Fulton is a sixth rounder that also continues to improve. Losing Jeff Allen and Stephenson to a suspension set the offensive line back a few weeks but they've played well enough the past several weeks and are beginning to gel.

Lewis and Demps are garbage. Demps lost coverage last year and allowed too many TD's and big plays to count. Albert would have been nice but not at the expense of Houston, Charles, Smith, etc.

And Succop can suck it. Even with Santos' rough start, I backed that decision 100%. And Santos is a stud.

It is ironic that I thought we lost Free Agent Dane McCloud but he is still here adding value! :thumb:

I could sink to your level of ignorance/arrogance, but I'll take a pass. Bowe isn't playing anything near what his level of pay states he. Meanwhile, we have a legitimate top 5 OLB slated to hit the free agent market and wants to be paid to his level of play. Cut/trade the slacker and use that money to assure a guy who plays at 100% every down stays in KC for years to come.

OR.... We could take the advise from the village idiot and pay a half ass $14+M and let a legit OLB walk and get paid by somebody else.

will this impact our comp picks at all?

We gained several free agents this past season, and I don't know for how much, but I don't think it was for more than a combined $15m (Mays and Walker making up basically all of that).

How've they fared?
  • OT Brandon Albert, Dolphins -- has been excellent on the blind side in Miami
  • DE Tyson Jackson, Falcons -- yeah.
  • OG Jon Asamoah, Falcons -- he's been "okay"
  • OG Geoff Schwartz, Giants -- IR
  • WR Dexter McCluster, Titans -- "hasn't panned out to date," playing only 28% of snaps
  • CB Brandon Flowers, Chargers -- one of Chargers' best defenders, has struggled with injuries
  • S Kendrick Lewis, Texans -- has been considered a generally positive impact on the Texans' secondary, almost always on the field
  • ILB Akeem Jordan, Redskins -- IR
  • S Quentin Demps, Giants -- now their starting FS
  • K Ryan Succop, Titans -- 11/13 with a long of 47 yards

Great Post... seriously, no early evening bullshit bro

Seems like Dorsey won overall on those deals. Who is on the chopping block this year after we win the SuperBowl?

It'd have to, don't you think?

The idea is that the players you lose outweigh the players you gain.

We lost $100m in contract value, no doubt. But the playing time outside of a couple OL guys is negligible.

I can't help but think that TJax and McCluster significantly reduce their comp picks.

We'll still get high ones for Albert (3rd) and Asamoah (4th? 5th?). But now the other two we get will be poverty level. Like 6ths or 7ths.

Tamba. :(

Probably DJ, too.

Possibly Allen Bailey.

O.city 10-31-2014 07:57 PM

I'd think DJ is probably at the end of the road as a chief. Tamba too. DeVito is done here too.

I would think they might keep Allen Bailey

maybe Tamba restructures

What about Bowe, with his violation and suspension doesn't that void the deal if the Chiefs want out?

chiefzilla1501 10-31-2014 08:07 PM

I would bet we get comped a third for Albert and something like three fifths for the rest. Asamoah and Jackson are starters with big contracts. Combo of demps, mccluster, Lewis should give us a combined good haul.

Dj is still really cheap. Pioli was shit but gotta give him credit for the cap friendly contracts he gave to kuharich guys.

It voids his guaranteed money, but his cap implications are the same.

Tamba's not going to take a pay cut while we make Houston the highest paid OLB in football.
