It's probably not on the buffet anyway. It's very hot.

Go for the buffet and sample everything. You'll probably like the tikka masala or butter chicken best.

I thought the buffet would only be weekdays, which I couldn't make because of work, but it looks like they have it everyday. I might have to try that next weekend.

Just looking at it on yelp, it looks very ****ing decent.

If you like bean and lentil-based dishes the Dal Makhani will also be worth your time. Saag Paneer is cheese in spinach curry. Not for everyone but I love it.

DO NOT eat the goat curry because the bones in it are kind of nasty to me.

Mango Lassi is a tasty treat as well.

Very interesting. I love curry but that sounds gross too.

You are vastly educated in many areas Baby Lee. Props.

If you want to try an Indian restaurant (1st time) I suggest you go with someone that's been there a few times. If you go to Karma Sutra they'll help you if you ask.

The best things about Indian food:

Completely different than anything you've eaten...
Naan
Samosas
They propagated Basmati rice
Great desserts that aren't huge pieces of cake
Sweet/hot spice
Drinks that aren't soda pop.

I'll think of more, but that's it for now.

There's one on 119th in OP. It's good but it's the same thing as Chartoose Caboose

Chartroose Caboose is awesome imo.

For the savory, rather than spicy, dishes, it's amazing that Indian can be so different from 'American' fare, yet still seem like comfort food.

They truly have an eye for the perfect spices to complement a dish.

Spicy dishes are just a plain old adventure.

Navratan Korma, Tikki Masala, and Palak Paneer.

Dang! I knew I'd miss some from my post. What's Indian food without Masala and especially Paneer! I am ashamed.

I'm really glad we turned this thread about shite sandwiches into a decent thread.

Kheer

Mint Chutney - don't know if I'd even mess with Naan if it weren't for mint chutney.

Anyone familiar with Penn Station? How do the two compare? The comparison to Chartreuse Caboose doesn't inspire optimism.

Penn Station's italian sub is about the only thing that rivals Yellow Sub, IMO.

Plus, I like that they slice your fries right there in front of you.

Penn Station blows PepperJax away. Love the Pizza sub there, and the fries are real good too.

Mmm, yes.

And make sure you get a side of raita to dip all of your shit in. Also cools the palate.

I'm a bread freak so it's Naan.
