many amazing albums mentioned so far, I'll throw these out there (or second/third/fourth if they've been named already)
ratm: ratm (self titled). sacc called it, but it's still high on my playlist if I'm feeling angsty sublime: 40 oz to freedom. fourth'd? fifth'd? it's amazing no matter how many times it's said wu tang clan: 36 chambers. amazing from front to back beastie boys: licensed to ill. simply the greatest of all-time. if memory serves, it had so many samples that it literally could not be made today (I may be thinking of paul's boutique though) killers: hot fuss. great album and one a bit before my time, when lou reed was lou reed... velvet underground/nico: the banana album. stunning. |

Agree with Boston.....saw them last summer in San Diego....Scholz is still amazing (lead singer was meh).
Not sure mentioned......but technically, MJ's "Off the Wall" was a solo debut, right? And already mentioned - "License to Ill" was amazing. and a personal, more obscure choice for myself.......Stabbing Westward's "Ungod" was outstanding. |
