I agree. He is the 2nd best defensive player in the league.

Last year, only one defensive player made the Top 10 and that was a CB.

Is it really that far fetched that Watt and a CB go Top 10 and Houston doesn't?

Or that Watt is the only defensive player to go Top 10?

Yeah, ranking a lineman that high was a gaffe on my part. I checked last year's rankings and Joe Thomas was ranked somewhere around 15. It's not like he's gotten any better so a top 10 ranking is probably pretty unlikely at this point...

Based on last season? Of course. He has 5 more TDs and almost 700 more rec yards. Not sure why Calvin would be considered a better player last season.

Well, I've heard that these rankings are supposed to be based on the top 100 players going into the new season. So most will be based on their performance for the season prior (obviously) but that isn't all that you should factor into it. Calvin Johnson spent a lot of this past season injured. Assuming he's healthy to start the 2015 season, would you take Antonio Brown over him?

Calvin is the safe pick, but I was super high on AB during our fantasy draft. I know it's fantasy blah blah blah. It's hard to take ANY WR over Megatron. If what you heard is correct about them being based on the upcoming season, I would have to flip a coin. If based on last season Calvin < Brown

Not far fetched at all.

Last year a CB was, arguably, the 2nd best D player in the league.

You asked "based on what?"

I answered.

Where's the confusion?

Deberg_1990 05-07-2015 06:21 PM

Oh awesome! A list that means Jack shit. Never seen one of these before!

Easy 6 05-07-2015 06:23 PM

To just kinda springboard off this thread, heres what I want to say...

ANY talking head, any misinformed loudmouth with a computer and a national voice that doesnt rank Jamaal Charles as their Number One back every single year, is a total fraud, a totally biased fraud that should not be listened to nor read.

Heres the list of backs who've managed 5 yards per carry for five consecutive years... Barry Sanders, Jim Brown.

Thats IT.

Peterson, McCoy and whoever else all of these tards have put forth these last 3-4 years?... they PALE in comparison, its not even CLOSE.

Jamaal is the best running back in the National Football League, period.

McCoy will NEVER be able to gain yards after contact like JC, Peterson will NEVER outrun someone with the angle like JC consistently does.

And the best part is that our team has him for atleast his next two prime years... all of you **g "writers" out there better get it right this year.

Kansas City.

Jamaal Charles.

Scariest back in the league.

yea and the Chiefs will go down as the team who wasted the prime years of one of the best RBs in the NFL on shitty QBs and shitty coaches woohoo!

OnTheWarpath15 05-07-2015 06:30 PM

That was a pretty impressive rant.

Too bad you're ranting at writers, when the PLAYERS are the ones responsible for this list. And IIRC, the league only gets around 500 responses.

Nah, dont do that, you're not one of those guys at all... I've seen way too many reasonable posts from you to believe you mean that garbage.

His years WERE being wasted, but not now... this team is ****ing loaded, its every single bit as talented and then some as those Niner teams Smith took to the brink.

Jamaal has two prime years left to make mfers pay.

Anyone saying that Houston won't be in the top 15 is an absolute idiot (Prison Bitch, but we already knew that). The guy almost broke the single season sack record and was the 2nd best defensive player in the league. There weren't really any monster offensive numbers put up either, so top 6 wouldn't shock me.

Its not really a jab at this list per se, its just the constant drumbeat we get of anyone else besides JC as the hands down best in the league.

MCCOY!

PETERSON!

Uh, have you idiots (pundits) actually watched this team or paid any kind of attention at all?

Yeah, because the lions didn't do that.

BTW, JC's prime years aren't quite over, yet.

Why do you even bother to watch this team?

I think you have your panties in a bunch for nothing.

There are 4-5 elite guys that an argument could be made for, just like there are at QB.

I'll never understand why people take things like this so personal. There are a LOT of great players in the league. Arguing over who is the best and who is the 3rd best or 5th best is completely pointless.

I wouldn't say they're in a bunch, just a bit twisted.

Listen, the Chiefs have made some major strides the past two year... seriously, a LOT of teams would've taken MUCH longer to recover from 2-14 AND a murder suicide.

Reid comes in and - shitty opposing QB's or not - takes them to 9-0 AND the playoffs... dude c'mon, I know you suffered the Indy loss personally, but atleast tip your hate to that job Reid did.

Last year? INJURY FEST 2014 - BRUTAL SCHEDULE 2014 - INCOMPLETE TEAM THAT COULDNT MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE 2014... yet still managed to beat the two conference champs... c'mon man, it doesn't invalidate all of your criticisms to admit that things could've went either way last year.

OnTheWarpath15 05-07-2015 07:26 PM

I'm not sure what any of that has to do with the Top 100 list, or how JC supposedly gets overlooked - but props for another misguided rant.
