I love maclin and he right about #FF but i play anyway because it fun. and i don't care if i lose every game as long as my chiefs win i'm happy!

MahiMike 08-29-2015 07:41 PM

I love that.

Hydrae 08-29-2015 07:51 PM

I used to play fantasy. Heck I ran a keeper league for about 8 years. Loved it, it made every game must watch and I had to learn about players on other teams. But did not play at all last year and did not miss it at all.

As an aside, I LOVE Maclin and he may become my favorite Chief simply based on that last tweet:

Blessed to be apart of this great organization and to play in such an historic stadium!

Seriously, how many people know that "an historic" is proper English? I see that wrong all the time and it really bothers me when an editor does not correct it. To see that from a football player is, IMO, very impressive!

Maybe I will enjoy football more now. Haha he will be happy because when I dropped out of one of the leagues, the draft got cancelled because it made the league have an odd number of teams. I am going to screen shot that and put it on his twitter, maybe I will get an autographed jersey out of the deal or something hahaha.

You're a ****ing douchebag.

Someone needs to explain this to Maclin.

Thankfully, football fans don't have to choose between rooting exclusively for their favorite team or for individual fantasy players.

I Back Mac.

Okay, thanks Maclin. **** you, too.

Saccopoo 08-29-2015 09:01 PM

He ****ed up the "to be apart" part so don't go deepthroating him just yet.

I took that as a simple missed space typo. The other is an understanding thing which seems to be rare in the general population. He also did things like "ur" in a previous tweet. It is just that the "an historic" is a pet peeve of mine.

Never understood why so many people simply can't separate fan allegiance from fantasy football. It's not impossible for those two things to peacefully coincide....

Not sure why, he made a difference in my life. Now I do not have to obsess if some damn QB2 is going to save me on a bye week or if a WR4 can adequately fill in due to massive injurys (Mostly torn ACLs every damn year) with my WR crew.

exactly

I'm an avid fantasy football fan but I always cheer for the Chiefs first ... a few years back, when the Chiefs were garbage, I was sitting next to a Chiefs fan at a bar while we were watching Chiefs/Chargers and he had Rivers on his team and he kept cheering every time Rivers threw a TD and I was like ... "really, man?"

SeeingRed 08-30-2015 09:45 AM

I love fantasy football...but from the players perspective it's a double edged sword. Some of them I know enjoy playing fantasy but have had discussions with players who hate fans reactions when their assignments aren't to garner fantasy points and drunk fans talk shit if they don't help them in their fantasy leagues. It's a weird dynamic for the athletes.

Ya, you gotta go for your team first. In my drafts next week I will purposely try not to target Raiders, Broncos or Chargers....I can still win using the 29 other teams
