Dude jumps ship to the NFL just as his program is getting hit with NCAA violations. Makes millions as an NFL HC while running a franchise into the ground. Will get rewarded with a huge new contract at a big time college program. What a country!

Larry Brown (Or maybe that's Petrino... anyway...)

Easier schedule. Having all the leverage over players. You can use the same offensive or defensive scheme for many years without much change. Some colleges have loads of money. Job security is higher.

Chip Kelly will be back in college within 2 years. My original guess was Texas, but USC makes even more sense.

It would be hilarious. Nick Saban style. Ruin the team then bail.

Closing doors for fellow college coaches on his way out. Not that the NFL should want any of them anyway. Doesn't translate. You gotta earn your chops IN the NFL.

Jimmy Johnson and Pete Carroll disagree.

Chip would own this city, especially until there's a winning NFL team in town.

Agreed.

Extremely disappointing, actually.

Not throwing stones. I have no idea. Would his schtick go over there? I can't imagine that arrogant prick would be well received.

Everyone here loves an arrogant prick that can deliver.

See Bryant, Kobe.

Fair enough. I imagine he'll be there or UT, whichever he can bend over harder.

I think Los Angeles is more his style than Austin but at the end of the day, I've got no dog in this hunt.
