I would plotz if Kauffman stadium had the stones to play this at a game.

There's a certain irony to this post as Royals game threads only really started to get a significant amount of posts on this forum last September/October. LMAO

Bandwagon fans are everywhere.

Mortal enemies with Canada this week, but my current favorite band is from Canada. Hope to get up there for some shows in the near future. Plus, my wife's maid of honor is Canadian, so I can't really say anything on Facebook about them.

Bandwagon fans are everywhere.

I've been a Royals fan longer than any other sports team, since I could walk and talk really.

But 160 games is a mind numbingly long time to maintain avid interest, and the intricacies of baseball strategy detract from the visceral experience for me.

Baseball fandom is a low impact, crack a beer and lounge at the stadium or listen over the AM dial while you tinker on your jalopy pursuit, not a rabid passionate one.

That's how your fandom works and that's fine. There's nothing wrong with that, far from it. But that's not true for everyone, of course. I've watched every Jays game I possibly could (at least when not working or out doing something else) for last 20 years now and I'm sure there are many more just like me. In fact, I know there were several diehards on this forum who kept posting in Royals game threads through the many bad years.

Canada owns and I would love to live there If I ever had the means.

Can't really talk serious shit about the country but I could try to poke at overdone, generic, morning zoo radio type of funny stereotypes if you wish.

But you were denigrating Royal fandom on the basis of post count.

I simply don't enjoy dissecting baseball. I ignore for long periods, just because there's so many games. But when I enjoy it, I enjoy it like a film or concert, not like a chess tournament.

Nah, I was just pointing out a fact. I know KC has a good fanbase, I lived there for a long time. But more fans show up and start giving a damn when teams win. A lot more. It's the same in Kansas City, Toronto, and everywhere else.

And again, that's fine. But there are people who enjoy baseball differently than that.

Well, as I said, there were always the group of diehards who watched and commented no matter what happened. You can't deny the growth, though.

Most of the regular season threads are the same people. Post-season or National TV games are when we start getting more people in the threads.
