He is maddening at times but Kelce is a young star that will only get better with experience.

He's frustrating at times, but he's a willing blocker and lethal after the catch.

I don't expect every player to come into the league a polished veteran. There will be development phases for some.

The thing about Kelce is that the potential is oozing out and so easy to see. He could be top 2-3 and nearly as effective as Gronk if targeted enough and used correctly.

What bothers me the most is how they said Kelce worked during the entire off season on ball security... yet he still doesnt secure it before taking a hit.

We'll see. His last bone-head mistake should be his last then.

I'm not saying I agree, but at this point it's up to him to prove me, and all of Chiefs Kingdom, wrong.

He's in his third season, it's time for the goofy mistakes to be done. He's not a rookie, so he can't use "rookie mistake" anymore, so he needs to understand he can't be the highlight hero I think he's trying to be. Just play the game, remember the basics, and protect the ball.

And i won't get too angry if a hard hit jars the ball loose, I won't, unless he's not carrying the ball correctly for the given situation.

He spent his entire rookie season on IR. This is essentially his second year in the league.

Fans can be so ridiculous at times. They expect a player always to give and never take. It's just not realistic. There are 22 guys out there on the other team trying to make sure ours don't do their job and sometimes they'll do just that.

What a stupid thing to say. Those other 22 players didn't make Kelce drop a crucial pass... or force him to draw a penalty that negated another TD.

Sure, people screw up on occasion.. but Kelce has been screwing up some big ones this season, and last. Fans are justified in showing displeasure over it, and just want him to get his head out of his ass. No one is saying he should be benched, cut, etc..

They did indirectly. He probably dropped he pass anticipating a hit or the run after catch and you don't draw a penalty by not touching another play somehow.

The idea here is to weigh the good with the bad. Does Jamaal fumble sometimes? Yes, of course, but he also gives you more TDs and yards per touch of any player in the league. Does Kelce drop passes sometimes? Yes, of course, but the potential reward he gives you far outweighs the risk and throwing the ball his way far more often than not results in positive plays. FAR more often.

He either needs better coaching or he is too boneheaded to take it...
