I agree, but then why be the only tagged player to hold out in TC and act all disgruntled? Is he not also being paid fairly this season? Would've been nice to at least have him at TC to mentor Eric Murray and the other young DB's. I think we've paid him enough and "did our part" to deserve that.

Yeah he's being paid fairly. 10.8 mil, which when taxed I figure he'll get around 6.5 or 7. Awesome money.

But after having a life altering disease, I get wanting to setget a long term security deal and all. He comes into camp, tears his knee up or some big injury, it can effect that security.

Also, look at the other tagged guys. Cousins tag number is more than he'd have gotten this year in a long term deal. Johnson the same.

I don't really like it, would have preferred he be there. But the cba states what it does. It sucks, but again, it is what it is.

I understand he makes more than most of us, but it doesn't means he shouldn't do the very best deal he can possibly do for himself. At the end of it all, his earning years are limited in terms of football, and no one from the organization is going to rush to throw cash at a guy after he's not with the team.

I get that they didn't have to pay his salary when he got sick, but they did it for the PR and some good will as much as they did it for him.

Some agent on twitter brought this up and I thought it was pretty interesting to thi k about.

He tells his players that being an nfl player isn't a career. It's a Jumpstart to your career. They have such a limited window of playing time and all.

It's just a completely different mentality of what we fans of teams think vs what the players think.

Everybody talks about Berry's stats like tackles and turnovers mean anything.

HOW MANY RETWEETS HE GOT, BRAH?!!

Did I make any negative comments in regards to his play on the field, or even his leadership on the field or in the lockeroom?

LMAO

I don't understand why Chiefs fans think Berry owes the Chiefs anything.

Just because they didn't cut him? LMAO

They gambled that he would return, and he returned, didn't miss a down of Training Camp and gave them another ALL-PRO season.

And now fans expect him to sign for less than market value because the Chiefs didn't cut him when they were unsure if he'd come back or not?

smh
