We''ll see...it's preseason. Poe doesn't get man-handled very often...I'm going by his history on this.

So far, IMO, the DL player who has stood out the most has been the rookie Jones. He is just noticeably more disruptive when he is on the field.

He's already our best interior pass rusher, and that says something. All of our guys can rush the passer.

He was the #2 rated interior pass-rusher in the entire draft...and by a slim margin.

I'm not surprised..at all.

If he can replace Poe..and KC can keep Berry..more power to them. Whatever works...

Poe's body type is rare though....like needle in a haystack rare.

Poe would be even more of a beast if his arms were just a couple of inches longer. His pure strength/power is neutralized a bit by the fact that the vast majority of OL players that he has to face have a reach advantage on him.

I have no problem with that, but twisting everything I say, and putting words in my mouth is just ****ing annoying. Me and you often disagree, but it's completely different than it is with billay, jspchief, vailpass, etc.

You're right though, I'm not going anywhere. They can all suck my ****ing cock.

nttawwt... :)

He's tough enough to take it. He's not going anywhere because we're being mean to him.

this...

I think he can take it...

He dishes plenty out so if he cant take it, **** him

I'm worried and yes I know pre-season is 'meaningless'

But I would really like to see us dominate this next 1st half of football.

This really is the second time that you seem to imply it's between Wilson or streater at the number 2.

I've gotten on staylor myself for different things. Probably will again. In this case he basically has admitted he was wrong about march short-term. It's also not crazy to believe our depth at dl could step up. Of all the position depth besides rb, dl has the best set of raw talent to step up and break out. I don't share his optimism about the young secondary for this season but I do for the young dl backups.

No the #2 will come down to Conley/Streater and Conley wins if he actually gets the playbook this year.

We just need Ford and Zombo to play smarter out there. And we need Poe to play like Poe.

Everything will sort itself out at that point.

It's ok it was the first pre season game it didn't mean anything.

i really dont think our defense is gonna be anywhere near as good as everyone thinks. Our olb is shit, really, think about it. Justin houston hurt, tamba is 65 years old, dee ford is a bust.

Corners: we have one proven good one. 1.

poe hasnt been anywhere near as explosive as he once was once that back injury.

linebackers: DJ is 80 years old, 120 tackles a year for the past 15 years? right. Mauga? lol.

I think our offense is gonna have to win the games for us now, not defense

It was ranked #2 in yards in 2014. Houston had 22 sacks that year and we only allowed something like 17 PPG.

The pass defense was the only thing that was good about that 2014 defense.

Nickhead 08-29-2016 12:25 AM

i just know we went from something like 8 ints to 26 last year.

not that the D has been terrible, i just assumed the pass d, was less than spectacular.
