Let's see what happens in Oakland.

I'm genuinely trying to write it off as just one loss, no worse than any other in the grand scheme of things

But this team has an undeniable way of looking their worst when it counts the most... prime time against a top team, and they totally lay an egg, looking like they dont even belong in the same stadium

This one is harder than usual for me to get past, lets just hope they all do some real soul searching these next two weeks

I feel like Big Ben, Haley and Brown called off the dogs and went easy on us in the 2nd half

There's no doubt in my mind that this game was a turning point in the Chiefs season. The real question is, which way will they turn?

In Game 1, they didn't wake up until the 2nd half. In Houston, the defense and special teams played well enough to win but the offense was bad. Against the Jets, the special teams weren't so hot and the offense was once again, weak (although the O did at least score a TD).

Last night came the inevitable: Breakdowns in all three phases of the game, all night long. If it wasn't the offense turning over the ball, the defense couldn't cover, couldn't apply any pressure and the kicker missed his first FG of the year. Once again, Tyreek Hill "scores" on a return, only for it to be called back.

So again, either they continue down this path of failing in all three phases each week or they make a 180, figure it out and go on a winning streak.

It's going to be one or the other, at least from my perspective.

What the **** is up with Colquitt shanking punts now. That's 2 now in 4 weeks that turned into TD's. Dude never shanked 23 yard punts ever.

I remember most fans saying they'd be happy to be 500 until Houston comes back, I don't think those same fans however counted us to have basically no pass rush at all or a secondary that likes watching things fly.

I'm still so-so on the season.

I do however think there's something wrong with Alex. He's been having some trouble with the short, simple throws that he's usually nailed the past 3 seasons. Something is up here.

He'll probably wash out of here in a year or two and head to Cleveland for one last safety "The market did what?!" retirement check.

We are not fine. It's year 4...

Houston isn't going to make as big a difference as a lot of people think.

Unless he can H-back or something.

Different long snapper not placing the ball correctly.

...they did it last year in GB. And at home against the Donx.

One thing I've noticed, seems like Smith isnt scrambling when things break down.

Yep and some dumbass that a long snapper is not a specialist or needed talent.

I have to think Smiths lack of running is by design, Reid trying to protect him etc

Its hard to imagine his legs being totally shot... but if they are, his best asset is now gone... not good

Yes and then we reeled off a stretch of wins against teams that had mostly shitty QBs.

Coming up we have:

Carr
Brees
Luck
Bortles
Cam
Winston
Siemian
Ryan
Carr
Mariota
Siemian
Rivers

Six of those QBs are in the top 10 for TD passes, and Siemian is 5th in the league in YPA.

That's eight games against pretty good QBs, and none of the other dudes are shitty like Landry Jones. Most of those guys are going to carve us a new one, and Alex will sit around twiddling his thumbs while it happens. Watch.

It's one week. They're 2-2, pretty much were most people thought they'd be at this point in the season.

Let's see how they respond against Oakland before declaring the end of the Chiefs 2016 season after Week 4.

So if we get our asses handed to us in Oakland we can freak out then?
