As painful as it is to say. There's no reason it shouldn't be.
I love JC but at his age and with his injury history Spencer Ware and his 5.2ypc have all but made him expendable.

The best thing that could happen, is JC displaying his all world talent, with the few gallons of rocket fuel he still has in the tank, late this season, so that we can unload him for some valuable picks.

or if not as valuable the picks as hoped for.. JC elects to restructure his deal to become a rotational back for KC. Obviously HUGE upgrade over West.. greatly prolongs JC's time in the NFL.. gives KC a tremendous RB2 that can easily be a great RB1 if Ware ever misses any time.

Not sure if JC has that kind of ego or mindset.. but he might, if the market isn't as eager as he may hope.

Any chiefs fan knows all about his ego and mindset on contracts in his career.

that's fine. I don't pretend to know what's in JC's head since his public emergence.

( was still an asshole-ish way to go about that, when you could have just explained what you believe is his mindset.. or said nothing at all.. but no hard feelings. I have come to expect and accept the CP way )

I for one think it sucks. JC is explosive and on the field is where we should want him. All this we don't need him talk is crazy. We do need him since our offense is in the bottom of the league as usual.

We've scored 13 more points than we've allowed.

Hardly a juggernaut

I need to check again but Ware actually has a 5.6 YPC average career while Charles has a 5.5.

We've been RB fortunate ever since Priest Holmes.

Spencer Ware is on track for 1,300+ yards rushing and 700+ yards receiving.

His numbers might be even higher since the Chiefs face some pretty pathetic defenses in Indy, Tampa, Carolina, Oakland and Jacksonville down the stretch.

Its a painful realization, but yeah its starting to look like this is JCs last year as a Chief... and if thats the case, then lets at least get him as close to 100% as possible for the last few games of the year

RINGLEADER 10-28-2016 05:45 PM

Not sure how we're going to make up the production from his 1-2 carries per game.

And people seem to be forgetting West.

He's the Chiefs fastest running back and led all backs in rushing yardage in 2015. He's been dinged this season with elbow and ankle injuries but once he's healthy, he'll provide a strong option and a 1-2 punch with Ware.

Aside from the fumbles, Ware has been lights out.

Yet the fans are at the point where they expect their favorite athlete to return quickly and play as if nothing happened. Sadly, this isn't always the case.

As I've mentioned several times, HGH testing has slowed recoveries to nearly a standstill. Charles is more than one year removed from his surgery yet he's clearly not 100% and at age 29, he most likely won't ever be the same player he was before this particular surgery. Fortunately, the Chiefs have players in Ware and West that take the sting out the loss of Charles.

Hopefully, Houston's recovery is without any speed bumps but considering that Phillip Gaines (age 25) is also having difficulty with his surgically repaired knee, it'll be surprising if he's able to step in and have the same kind of impact as he had in 2014 and 2015.

Voice of reason.
