Kid I work with claimed he caught something his mom had. She was given a round of antibiotics that she shared with him.

****ing assholes will be the death of us all.

No stupid ****ing doctors that give antibiotics for everything will be the death of us all. Most people completely trust their doctor even when they are sometimes wrong about things

Both are guilty.

This guy took antibiotics and didn't even know what the hell he had. Not to mention he shared a prescription with his mom and, I want to say, he didn't even finish the round. He just stopped taking them once he felt better.

Lumpy, Hunter and I all got that stomach bug about two weeks ago. I got over it in a day or two but they were both down with it for four or five days.

Nasty shit... literally.

Our local hy vee has something called or nicknamed 'doc in the box' where I guess antibiotics are readily available I've heard, but never verified.

HOWEVER....

Back in November I did have an internal ischiorectal abscess inside my buttocks-cheek that had me immobilized and in the worst pain of my life for three days before I finally went to the doctor and he immediately booked me for surgery that evening to drain it.

Fun having two drain tubes sticking out of open wounds precariously next to your poop chute for 20 days, and having to try to live normally with a wad of gauze tucked between your cheeks. Felt like I had a stack of post-it notes shoved up my ass for three weeks.

welp, people have been through much worse, so I guess I am lucky?

Spoiler!

You won the thread!

Thats just what the doc ordered up, I'll go ahead and believe what he says I need instead of my illustrious peers here at Chiefsplanet

Same here. I avoid medicine like the plague. Figure I'll be stronger for it in the end.
