I thought Veach scouted and liked guys like Desean Jackson and Lesean McCoy? Can't find the link for that story.

Kielce, Peters, Jones, Hill, Morse. Day 1 contributors.

I never could have imagined an undersized receiver from West Alabama would become a star in his rookie season, and one of the most explosive weapons in the NFL

Dorsey is gone (there's good and bad here) but let's not pretend like we have been a 8-8 also-ran with underperforming rookies. We are an 11-5 type team with very good rookies, but are 1-3 in the postseason.

Mahomes was brought in as the last and most important piece to the puzzle.

All honesty Hill had the talent to be a first round draft pick but no one wanted to pick him because of his troubles. I hope Veach continues that way in taking talented players with a troubled past

Still, a lot of people blew it off as "camp hype". Most people in Kc never heard of the guy. Nobody thought he was much of a stud.

Kind of like Tanoh: highly regarded by scouts, unheard of by fans

Chicken Little complex, so far he's done nothing to doubt him

It's not any kind of complex. It's like when a backup gets promoted in the NFL, they are a question mark until they prove they can start. Until Veach proves he can do it, there will be doubt.

They have "potential" and that means they haven't done jack shit.

True in some respects but for every Marcus Peters there are 4 Mike Catapanos, 7 Jonathan Baldwins, and 10 KeiVarae Russells we are all excited about that are the camp's shining stars but soon flame out .

This regime didn't even draft Baldwin

Catapano was a 7th round pick from the historically weak 2013 draftROFL

I always take note of the camp hype, but I always wait till the games are played. Only way to prove a rookie, same as it ever was for any rookie on any team.

The letdown is what happens when people don't temper expectations throughout the hype

Home team fans feel rookies are shining in week 1 of camp.
Film at 11. :p

No, it's the definition of your homerism. Every fan has doubts when their team hires a new GM. The only exceptions are the homers who judge every move with rose colored glasses.

KeiVarie Russell was awful in preseason and I predicted he'd be released two weeks before he was cut.

The only thing I recall about Baldwin was the camp fight that left him with broken bones.

Catapano was a 7th. Big whoop.

My spidey senses are tingling on the Kpassagnon pick. Dude has the shit you can't teach. A lot of potential for good things to happen.

Yeah, 1st time I've been called that.

Everyone has doubts, but KC won't absolutely go into an oblivion like you make it out to be.
