People blame Bob Sutton solely for the defense being a mess but look at the talent. Houston is our only pass rusher and we don't have a #2 CB.

I don't even want to think about where we would be if Veach didn't get us Ragland and KPL.

I wouldn't call Houston much of a pass rusher anymore, unfortunately.

We'll never be mean or have an edge with Sutton and his cheese-assed 3-4.

Othere teams create more pass rush with less

Houston needs to be moved to ROLB/DE permanently. Then he can flip-flop to whichever DE side he thinks the offensive set warrants. That would at least put some pressure on the offense to adapt.

I would also say add some stunts/slants etc but we don't seem to be able to handle anything but basic defense without doing something stupid.
