It's as subtle as he can be really.

got it.

I'm not an Alex lover, but frankly, he was about the only guy I saw out there yesterday literally throwing himself towards a win. He fought the weather conditions somewhat at times, NYG didn't complete any long bombs either IIRC.

Yeah, that means little.

Remember how Matt Cassel played right after having an appendectomy? The guy tried hard as hell...and he was still terribad.

47 years worth and counting!

You have no idea if Mahomes is a Ferrari though. You are basically saying Mahomes is going to come in and play like he is an elite QB because obviously Ferrari's are the best of the best.

That's not being realistic. The kid is sitting on the bench for a reason. He needs time to learn certain things and work on his weaknesses more specifically being able to make reads and audibles.

He ran a pretty basic offense in college. Pretty much every draft guru said the Mahomes would benefit greatly from sitting on the bench a year or two. They didn't just say that because Mahomes slept with their wives, there is a lot this kid can learn that.

Now I have no idea how far along he has come with learning mentally the things i mentioned but it takes time. There is nothing wrong with sitting and learning. Aaron Rodgers draft profile was similar to Mahomes and he has said no way would he be as successful as he turned out to be if he started his rookie season.

I also wouldn't want him to come in right now. Our offense besides Smitty is playing just as bad as Alex is. He would not be coming into a great situation and it'd definitely divide the locker room. Smitty is well liked. We do not need a QB controversy. Smith has had a couple bad games yes but every NFL QB has bad games. Overall he is having a good season and to bench him now after what happened to Smith in SF would probably destroy our locker room.

It is a bad idea. Now is not the time for Mahomes to start. Smith plays bad another 3-games and we lose each then yeah make the move but we all know the odds of that happening are slim to none.

I never called Kelce a dumbass and I am not impressed by Alex jumping around because he is scared to throw. Too bad he didn't get knocked out of the game. Sorry, Andy refusing to play the phenom has driven me to there.....

What do we have with Alex? Yeah, laugh now...

kcpasco 11-20-2017 09:50 AM

No he’s on the bench because Alex can’t muster 1 single TD against a bad defense Smith is blocking him. This franchise is still stupid as **** but I’ll continue to watch because I must like the abuse.

Rant over

1. Says that posters don't know what they're talking about because they aren't in the locker room.

2. Proceeds to throw bullshit out that he knows nothing about.

Go **** yourself.

We don't have one with either. Quit lying to yourself.

Just swapping qbs won't fix shit. This whole team has problems. But go ahead and keep telling yourself that so you can think in your own mind you're right. This entire team is a shit show right now.

ROFL I'm right there with you. This organization has never had a team that is a serious contender for a championship run. Year after year they churn out a mediocre team one right after the other. They have either been dominant on defense and completely inept on offense, or dominant on offense and completely inept on defense. They have never fielded a team that is dominant and balanced on both sides of the ball (though they will occasionally field a team that is completely inept on both sides, which is beginning to look like what we have this year). This organization has never figured it out in terms of getting a legitimate team to make a run.

Mile High Mania 11-20-2017 09:53 AM

Alex has played well in 2017 which has put the familiar hate to rest... now, the team has lost 4 of 5 after being the lone undefeated team standing at 5-0.

Flash forward to being 6-4 heading into week 12 and yeah, the reality is back with this team and Alex.

KC has a fairly comfortable lead within the division right now. Need a spark and a glimpse of the future? Start the rookie.

KC has a 2 game lead over OAK and LAC - they beat LAC and lost by 1 to OAK. Start the rookie.

4 of the remaining 6 games are in KC - Bills, @ Jets, Raiders, Chargers, Dolphins, @ Broncos

KC should win most of those games... and advance by winning the division. Slug it out and see what happens with Alex and then hit refresh with the rookie in 2018? Hell, just go for it now.

Mahomes can get us 9 points against the NY midgets. Stop

pugsnotdrugs19 11-20-2017 10:04 AM

I stand by the idea that this team lost focus and has lacked passion since the Pittsburgh loss. I believe they saw that game as a nightmare all over again, they saw Alex revert to his old self, and they realized they were headed straight at another playoff disappointment.

They also are seeing the things Mahomes does in practice, like Kelce and DJ have mentioned, and are probably asking themselves 'what if?...' what if we played this kid? Could we finally beat Pittsburgh? Could we finally make enough big plays to go deep in the playoffs?

And it's a completely fair question.

Black Bob 11-20-2017 10:07 AM

QB controversy? That's funny...

Did you guys miss the last drive of the fourth quarter? Mahommes has NEVER done anything like that. Alex is clearly our best player. I don't want to say it. I don't want it to be true. It just is. Not sure how anyone could deny it?
