Kelce is widely considered a top 3 TE.....and he goes entire portions of the game without being targeted.

Hill is the top deep threat in the league....and only gets like 1-2 deep looks a game.

Robinson tore it up in the preseason with Mahomes and now just rots at the #2 spot.

And lastly our offensive line gets shit on.....because Smith gets happy feet and runs into sacks.

I could be wrong, but for some reason I think Kelce is the 1st TE to face the Giants this year and not score.

Yep. And it wasn't due to anything Kelce did. He had a drop around the 10 yard line, but the playcall was stupid. The safety was right on him the second the ball was there.

No....you're right. Might have something to do with the fact that Smith refused to throw it into the endzone.

Mortenson is just fanning the controversy flames.

I like the fact that the national media wants to see Mahomes so they continue to push that narrative. It may not even be factual, but at least they're talking about it.

I don't post much but I had to login to express my delight at this post.

I posted most of the whole bit in another thread. Here it is. Paraphrasing a bit, but not totally:

They were just discussing the Chiefs QB situation on Monday Night Countdown. Chris Mortensen just said the Chiefs play Buffalo and the Jets the next 2 weeks, with a 2 game lead, so you continue to monitor the situation, but word is Mahomes continues to look spectacular. Louis Riddick said if Smith continues to falter, this situation bears watching if Mahomes plays.

They need something to talk about because the NFL is boring.

They must mean that Mahomes only gets 2-3 snaps a day with the actual offense. As the scout team QB, he's probably running just as many plays as Smith. If he's doing 'spectacular things', the team is going to take notice and whether it's as the scout QB or within the actual offense really won't make a difference to them.

The scout team has mo defensive pressure, they don't play. Its for muscle memory and that's it/tigger

Mellinger was then interrupted by Terez, who basically said that there’s no way Smith is replaced. Mellinger said Pat is 3 years removed from high school.

Then Terez said Mahomes is gettting 3 snaps per practice, to which Mellinger nodded in agreement.

They went on to say the switching to Mahomes would piss off the Vets because it would signal giving up on the season.

I’m just reporting, not elaborating or agreeing.

Interesting, I wouldn't have thought that would be their attitude.

I would have thought they would get more pissed off after blocking, running routes, giving it their best, only to have Alex panic and give up on the play before it even has a chance.

Smith makes weapons useless. Scared player to take any chances. Doesn't give WRs the time of day or let them make a play. He is 90 percent our problem on offense.

I get bored with the off-field BS. The Zeke stuff was ridiculous. Any and all drama I hear, it better be on-field happenings.

I'd sure love to know what they know to say that...

No shit.

Hey guys were are switching to a guy who gives us a better chance to win does not = giving up on the season.

Running Smith's ass out there is closer to giving up on the season.
