They're gonna have to add someone. I'd love the FUller's together with Amerson and Nelson then add some better safety play.

I'm not sure that Nelson will be gone but so far, the only true surprise has been trading Peters.

The rest of these players (Hali, DJ, Parker, Sorensen, Bailey, etc.) were all speculated to be cut for months.

I'm thrilled that Veach is remaking the defense and I'm also thrilled that old coaches were let go in favor of young guys in their 30's because they'll be able to communicate better with a new bunch of 21-23 year olds.

Think this is Sutton's last season?

I think that Veach is just getting started in remaking the defense.

If the Chiefs defense is still ranked in the bottom 5 after massive changes to personnel and the firings of several defensive coaches, I think that Andy will have no choice but to fire him in 2019.

That said, Sutton has had some very good defenses when he had healthy players.

The lack of depth on the roster really caught up with them in 2017, so if they show major signs of improvement, I imagine he'll be around next year.
