I keep imagining Thielen(undrafted) as our slot guy.

OL

This in that exact order IMO. We need to be consistently investing at least one mid or late rounder every year into the line.

I wouldn't mind if we spent an early rounder on a LT as well. Fisher has 3 years left on his contract and I do wonder if it's time we look to upgrade that spot.

Since the Bengals refuse to utilize John Ross' speed, see if we can't snatch him up. Don't know if he can actually catch or not because, iirc, he's been more or less injured his whole career? Either way, imagine having the 2 fastest players in football on the field. **** it, use him for end arounds/reverses or screens

I wouldn't argue with any of that. As lethal as we are, imagine having a TE2 with a catch rate above 3%

We can improve our offense by having our defense get more stops and giving the ball back to the offense with shorter fields.

Not it matters the field position just pads the stats on longer fields but gives us more time score touchdowns on shorter fields.

Opposing offenses are going to be forced to throw a ton against us so it’s smart to load up on the secondary and pass rush.

That’s the best way to help Mahomes.

It doesn't worry me, because the defense will get better. And Mahomes will get better, which will carry lesser talent. But we have to calm our expectations about improving our offense with new players. Most of our money will go toward maintaining what we have, the rest is in a treasure chest waiting for Mahomes & Tyreek's contracts.

Realistically, we'll be barely maintaining what we have and piecing together any missing pieces with late draft picks and low salary reinforcements. Which is fine. But it's just reality.

I think most are saying the same thing, offensive line.

Our starting OTs are good but we need depth. Our right guard is also set.

We should know by the end of this season about LG and Center.

General Offensive line depth

Replace Harris with a better blocking tightend?

GayFrogs 11-06-2018 01:23 AM

Why is everyone mentioning OL depth when we have 3 linemen out and are still playing well? Only improvement I can think of is TE2

Rasputin 11-06-2018 01:50 AM

Time and experience.

If we can keep this offensive core together next five or more years holy shit balls they will toy with everybody.

We will see more no look passes and Patrick will have better timing routes at his disposal his anticipation is all ready on showcase it's just going be that much more common and so yes we can improve this offense. It's going get ridiculous.

uhhh....because we have 3 linemen out? Maybe that might be a place to load up.

5 or more years is doubtful. 2-3 years is probably more likely.

Isn't the point of this thread, where should we improve during the offseason? After which we presumably have 8 serviceable offensive linemen coming back? I agree that right now we're screwed if we lose another one.

I could be convinced to use a third on the right TE2.
