I hope the NFL has queued-up/scripted a Rocky style ending where the Chiefs screaming our version of "Adrian, ADRIAN", somebody has to cut the swelling above our eye, but we, bloodied to a pulp, seeing out of one eye deliver a punch in the final round for a SB victory.

He'll come in make a big play then have a season ending injury.

Any news of similar conditioning upkeep? Hopefully he doesn't look below the sweatsuit like he does in the beard/hair.

Do you really think just because there haven’t been reports of his working out (outside of the Dee Ford interview) that he likely hasn’t been? The guy worked out during cancer treatment but he’s been sitting on his ass drinking beer for the last several months knowing that he might get another shot to play again this season on a run to the Super Bowl?

His comeback from cancer was a major news story for the Chiefs and the NFL and the leakage/release of those workout stories would make sense to help with the feel-good factor around it. Incredibly different situation.

I think the fact that he came back from cancer and did so quickly should make people more optimistic regarding his impact over the remainder of the season, but it seems most people here aren’t giving him any credit for that.

Time will tell, but in my view the bar is very low given our safety play.

As I said before, I think he'll be an upgrade, but for how long. I'm going to go with GloryDayz's scenario and the team will win one for the Berryier (see the 1940 classic "Knute Rockne,All-American" if you don't get the reference).

I really believe our record is what has kept Berry out. If he was really bad off he would have been placed on IR. There hasnt been a need to rush him back, and extra recovery time is going to be a positive.

Couple games to get his rust knocked off and his wind back, and he willl be a beast for us in the playoffs.

Yeah, hes making a ton of money, and we want to see him out there, but if holding him out longer, and all but guaranteeing a healthy Eric Berry for a superbowl push gets it done, then its all worth it.

Everyone shitting on Berry seems to easily forget what a game changer he is. He put us over the top against the Panthers, and Falcons in his comeback year, and then completely shut down Gronk in the opener in which we destroyed the pats before getting hurt.

Berry is a beast, and will impact our defense in a big way.

The story we're hearing is that he really wants to play, but medically can't. Are you suggesting that you think he could play, but is saving himself? If he could have played but optionally missed, and we could realistically be 11-0, then I'd be rather angry.

You gotta ask yourself this question.

Eric Murray

or

Haglund's deformity Eric Berry

?

Who would you want on the field come playoffs?

Shaid 11-24-2018 01:17 PM

When they realized he had this in pre-season they should have want in and shaved that born spur off. Even if it was a 8-12 week recovery, we'd have still been better off.

Imon Yourside 11-24-2018 01:19 PM

I was somewhat disheartened to learn Berry was actually playing in our 45-44 playoff loss to the Colts.

I can't wait until Berry does something heroic in a game and it comes to be known as "The Haglund Maneuver"

They’d have to manually tear the Achilles in order to shave the bone down, thus his season would have ended in that scenario.

He is a significant upgrade. Baring any significant injury to the rest of the team this makes the Chiefs SB favorites.

Dear Eric Berry;

Shit or get off the pot already.

Sincerely,

Chiefs Fans

hmm, don't know if that would be better or not. Yes, his season would be over but he's constantly had it bothering him and it's not like it'll improve.
