Anyone else notice he could've put ALL 3 games away (Patriots, Rams & Ravens)? I know that's the reason he plays defense but I'm guessing he's going to be THAT ONE person that doesn't do SHIT until he gets the game wining pick in the SB to bring home the Lombardi!

Carry on!

Yes! Because in every game it always comes down to 1 single play.

What makes me cringe is that Kc actually signed that burn victim to be a starter and were SHOCKED when he wasn't up to it.

Pretty ****ing amazing since Amerson was basically a bust who had one good season and was actually coming off of a TERRIBLE season.

I want to know why our coaches and player personnel didn't work harder to find better options in our secondary? They didn't even seem to try this year. They traded Marcus Peters away, traded for Fuller and then took a nap like everything was fine.

They couldn't predict that Berry might get hurt. They couldn't predict that Murray and Sorenson might suck. Just common and logical possibilities that were completely ignored by the Chiefs.

Dorsey was right, we never should have given the huge contracts to Houston and Berry. They completely handcuffed the salary cap room for defense.

The 20 million per year for Houston would let us sign 3 really good starters on defense. 13 million for Berry isn't crazy but he is a continual injury risk every year. We should have let both walk and got the comp picks.

You spend money on offense and continually draft for defense.

You have to be able to draft and develop for Defense. We haven't been developing on Defense at the needed level.

Nobody is as bad as Parker or Ragland. And Scandrick has been significantly better than Hitchens..

Let's give the worst players on this defense due credit - those ****ing guys suck.

Scandrick isn't in that conversation. He's just a JAG.

Man this is why I have a problem with Veach. Those are his guys sans Parker which he brought back. Pat's talent will overcome this but I feel its Rodgers situation where the guy would win more with competent front office management. Flame away I'll give Veach another year but I do get the feeling he ain't it.

Shit...you're not the only one. The disconcerting thing is Veach's main focus this offseason was shoring up the run defense and becoming more physical.

They are dead last..32nd this year. They dedicated the entire draft to defense and moved up for Speaks. I'm not seeing anything too promising from this class...too early to wave the white flag but...

Chunt fired Dorsey because Berry started a national LR stink..and that led to a snowball of chaos...and shit falling apart.

Berry will be gone soon ...maybe as early as next year. Dorsey would have been here for a decade.

Just a major fail on all accounts....Chiefs had the framework in place for a dynasty.

Kelce, Jones, Schwartz, LDT, Hill, Peters, Hunt, Ford, Mahomes, Ware....FML.

Anyone remember when KC had 4 starting caliber safeties...that Dorsey picked off the scrap heap? Good times...

If you're seriously counting on Scandrick of all people to make the game winning pick you're a ****ing dipshit. He's a decent role player and that's all you should be asking from him.

The game winning pick lol... how about you play a good game to where you don't need a ****ing street FA at the back end of his career to get you the game winner bud.

No longer having a QB to complain about has opened up a pandoras box of stupid on CP.

Not really. You can always go back and say "if we converted that third down in the second quarter ..." But you know that isn't how it works. Often, one play at the end of the game can decide the game. If your opponent is driving to take the lead with a minute left and you drop an easy pick, you could have sealed the game. End of story. Just like a kicker who misses a FG as time is running out. Sure, there are probably one hundred other plays during the game you can point to, but those are washed away if it comes down to a final play/drive where someone messes up.

Flying High D 12-12-2018 08:11 AM

Seems it would be hard to criticize players that actually play on game days.

I agree with the general sentiment that, at the very least because of the crap around him, he isn't that bad.

Chris Meck 12-12-2018 05:35 PM

Scandrick is mediocre. Unfortunately, with the rules what they are, the difference between a very good CB and a mediocre one is minimal.

wutamess 12-14-2018 09:19 AM

clears throat...

FloridaMan88 12-14-2018 09:24 AM

There is a reason Scandrick was available to sign in late August... he was/is trash.

Scandrick is just a by product of Veach's failure to properly address the CB position during the offseason, specifically the starting CB position opposite Fuller after they traded Marcus Peters.

Red Dawg 12-14-2018 09:27 AM

We have nobody in our back 7 that any team needs to respect. No play makers at all. We need a new secondary all the way around and better than Ragland and Hitch at LB.
