Jeanie Buss hired a legendary Laker player to be the president. She hired Kobe Bryant's agent. Hired Luke Walton because her ex BF loves the guy.

The nepotism is strong in LA.

I love how Lebron doesn't even give a **** about shooting free throws or playing defense anymore.

And who the hell spends a #2 draft pick on a ****ing point guard who can't shoot free throws? Lonzo makes Shaq look like Mark Price at the charity stripe. That's just a talented player being lazy and that means he ain't trying to be great, and that's not even counting how detrimental that can be when trying to close out close games. Now you have to keep the ball out of your distributor's hands in case someone fouls him and sends his 43% sorry ass to the line.

So true, should have seen them at practices in Cleveland, Lebron calls a potty breaks, they all follow him to the potty room like the pied piper.

It's basically what you get with Lebron anyway.

He plays in the lebron system and does the lebron thing. He gets his way or he sandbags on the court. That being what it is, it's WELL ESTABLISHED what kind of team he needs around him to succeed and it's precisely the opposite of what LA did last off-season.

NOBODY understood what the hell they were doing.

Why does Ball need to worry about shooting free throws? Guy's not gonna drive the lane anyway. Spot-shooters who don't work without the ball in their hands can't get to the FT line.

In all seriousness though - that FT% should've sent the Lakers running for the hills because there's a really strong correlation between FT% and a player's ability to improve his FG%. If a guy can't shoot when he's standing stone-still, there's a fundamental problem with his ability to shoot a basketball - period. And the biomechanics involved are so ingrained at that point that a complete overhaul is just unrealistic.

So the Lakers, if they had ANY kind of advanced scouting system, would've looked at that FT% and realized that history says there's nothing they can do to make him even an average NBA shooter. And with his first step being substandard on his best day, he's never gonna be a guy that can drive. So you have a bad jump-shooter with an average handle and poor first step but excellent court vision. Okay - so what happens when nobody respects anything else he can do and just sags into the passing lanes to give him nowhere to go with the ball?

Oh that's right, he becomes a defensive specialist. He becomes Bruce Bowen without a jumper.

That's the most aggravating part of the Lonzo Ball experiment - it took NO imagination to see this coming. He's exactly what a cursory glance at his form, his athleticism and his stat sheet suggests he would become.

And Magic bought his own bullshit and sunk the #2 overall on him just so he could move out a far superior player with an obviously better upside.

I really don't know where they go from here.

Someone with an altered ego to match Lebron !

" The Worm " would be perfect!

Lonzo is just busted. I think you got my point. I can't ever remember a perimeter player who was that bad at such a basic thing. I mean it makes driving the lane a non option even if he DID have the step/handle to get in there.

Lebum only succeeds with a bunch of cucks around him standing out on the perimeter waiting for daddy to pass them the ball. Wade was the only player who wasn't going to get bullied by Ledouche. And he leaves teams barren when he exits. Bringing in James was the nail in the Lakers' coffin. That's a shame.

And there's the conundrum. If Lebron doesn't get his way, he will make life a living hell for his coach. Or in some cases he's mailed it in. So the Lakers have a choice of either letting Lebron do his thing and getting the best of Lebron (which does improve the roster but it also means making a lot of really bad moves that make it impossible to compete a few years from now) or you ignore Lebron and hope he'll put up. For an older Lebron I don't know if it's worth it to go door #1.

You're absolutely right. Lebron is a great player, but he's a terrible GM. Worse, even though he's a terrible GM he insists on doing it instead of letting his front office do their job.

Jeannie Buss is gonna **** this up huh....

You'd think she'd go to Myers, Presti, or Masai with a blank check and make them say no but she's just gonna do something so unbelievable dumb, I can already feel it.
