I had meniscus surgery in the late 90's and I was NOT sprinting in 3 weeks. Not even close. Maybe my surgeon sucked ass, it was work comp after all. Maybe it's because they took out 75% of my meniscus, but it took me quite a while to come back from it. They had to drain a large amount of blood from swelling on my knee a few weeks after the surgery. And I didn't have full range of motion for quite some time. And even now, i have 2 or 3 days a year where my knee hurts like hell for no particular reason. I was still young and in shape and weighed about 175lb at the time.

Speaks almost definitely has a better surgeon, and may bounce back in a few weeks, but it may not be a given.

Because we all know - especially those of us who have had 4 of them - that all meniscus tears are exactly alike.

Yeah, I guess it all comes down to how much they have to repair. My surgeon is definitely considered one of the best in town. There’s a multiple people at my job that had repairs done by him and was highly recommended.

I went back to work after two weeks with no restrictions.

1) Of course you would. If there's a way to trade for someone, water boy included, you're gonna do it.

2) Why? I mean unless you're going after Chase Daniel, any QB you bring in here is going to have to learn the system from the ground up without the benefit of any sort of training camp period. The odds of a 'veteran backup' who's never operated in Andy's system being better than Litton are pretty remote.

As for Daniel....ugh - I really don't have much interest in paying him $4 million. And the Bears would give him to us for a 7th in all likelihood given that he appears to be a likely cut candidate.

Nah, I'd let him get cut and offer him something like $1-2 million to return. Then I'd probably cut Henne with an injury settlement as I think Daniel's probably a better option here anyway. But I wouldn't give $4 million for him.

I agree, there's absolutely no reason to trade for any QB. I'm also in agreement that Daniel would be the only vet we should consider and I wouldn't pay him $4M. It's time to fish or cut bait with our backup QBs.

How in the hell did Henne get hurt? Did he kick the bench after his miserable performance Saturday? Did we miss the cart off while Ari and Trent were BSing with Donovan?

At this point, I think you have to keep Ogbah on the roster. See how severe the Speaks injury is and maybe put him on IR Designated.

Just signed Matt Moore

Matt Moore is a good option.

Well there you go. He is basically a Henne clone.

DJ's left nut 08-26-2019 10:26 AM

Matt Moore signed.

There, O.City - you got your shitty veteran.

Wonder if this means Henne is out...like being cut.

Yea but O.City would have traded for him LMAO

Chief Northman 08-26-2019 10:28 AM

Moore is a respected vet who will know his role and help that QB room. WCO familiar and by all accounts a true pro.

He probably has a 12 - 16 week injury so no use keeping him around.

VAGOMO 4 LIFE! 08-26-2019 10:29 AM

Moore is better than Henne
