The only thing keeping KC from locking up Jones potentially is a lack of cap space. I would think that if they are given that space, it will be much easier to reach a deal. They still have franchise tag leverage.

Same with most of the players on the list.

There are some intelligent people in this group that will help lead.

It would not be the NFL telling him how to vote. It would be the NFLPA that would do that.

Get back to me when they wash dishes for a living for a lousy boss. That's working your ass off. This is cake.

Lol, try trolling elsewhere bro.

Those 2 situations are not the same. You don't understand how having more cap space would help us sign Jones? How do you not understand this?

Lol id like to see your fatass follow around one of these guys and see if you could keep up. You're not as special as your mom says you are.

We simply disagree about what's important in reality.

As I said, who cares? Whether I can, has nothing to do with it.

Actually you both have a valid point.

Short term and what Chiefs need, we should have more money to sign players.

Long term it will catch up like prices and minimum wage.

It also means all the other teams have more $ to spend and could still out price KC.

Lol the nflpa is no challenge to the billionaire owners who allow the players the privilege of playing for money. Theyll do what ever the big boss tells them, in the long run

True if it is an open market and all teams get to bid on Chris Jones. We have him though and hopefully we can agree on value without teams saying well we would pay you $23 M per year. That would be tampering.

You also hope that Chris Jones wants to be a Chiefs and will be happy with a good $$ contract.

This last season:

Chiefs, 49ers and Titans played 19 games
Packers, Texans, Seahawks, Vikings played 18 games
Ravens, Patriots, Saints, Eagles, Bills played 17 games.

I think 17 game season can be executed in a way that does not measurably impact the overall health of players.

I doubt if the NFLPA agrees to the new cba.

They are gaining about 5 billion more dollars for their share. They also get their benefits a year earlier. Those are some pretty strong points to agree.
