You remember Chicago trading up from 3 to 2 to take Trubisky and gave up several picks to do it. Teams get attached to a particular player and can't control themselves.

I bet we have 5 teams begging to get to 32 and grab that 5th year option.

Yup.

32 is an ideal trade spot.

Gets to the end of the day. Player (or a couple) no one expected to be there is there. Several teams interested in trading up as it’s the last pick of the day, and as mentioned, the 5th year option.

If the Chiefs wait it out there at draft time, I have no doubt they’ll have several interested suitors for that pick.

So if a guy is there that the Chiefs REALLY love and absolutely have to have, they’ll take him. But if there are several still available that they like there, the you trade down into the second, take one of them when your picks gets there and pocket the extra draft revenue.

1. Queen ILB
2. Hall CB
3. Moss RB
4. Gibson WR/RB/ST
5. Best Available OL

WITH ALL THIS TALENT AVAILABLE AT #32, WHY WOULD ANY TEAM TRADE UP?

NOT HAPPENING FOLKS.

You'll have teams that want to trade back into the first to draft a guy they really like and take advantage of having him under team control for an extra year.

5th year option on QB or RB

Coogs 04-13-2020 01:04 PM

With the new CBA rules on the 4th and 5th round options on the 1st round picks, I wonder if teams may try and steer clear of having to deal with that 5th year?

Pretty damn good, Bro. Here’s how I’d handle it...
1. HB J.K. Dobbins
2. CB Jaylon Johnson
3. ILBer Logan Wilson
4. OG Jon Runyan
5. WR James Proche

We also need something to bitch about other than a virus for a while.

My brain says LB, CB,IOL, EDGE, RB, my heart wants RB, WR, TE, C, IOL

not bad. Except that Gibson will be primarily a RB for Reid I expect; and I don't see taking TWO RB's.

I'd slide a LB or solid G or C into that #3 slot.

I was thinking Gibson could be the new DAT, acting as a returner and scatback.
