I think moving Jones has always been an option. If it does go down, today is the most likely day. If not today, he is probably not going anywhere.

Idk my dick gets seriously hard thinking about having Swift in this offense, the dude reminds me of Barkley

Yeah, if he doesn’t get moved today then it’s almost a guarantee that we’re keeping him.

The only way I see a trade after today is if a contender loses a DL during camp, and we still don’t have a deal worked out. Might be able to rip some other team off big time in that situation.

I mean, if Ngaukuoe goes for 12 and Buckner goes for 13, you have to get a 10-15 pick worth of value for Jones.

Who out there is willing to pay that price? Tampa is going for it and could use an interior rusher, but getting the OL help they need for Brady gets tough if they move #14.

Crosby is super overrated based on 1 game last year. He had a lot of no-show games last year. 1 game with 4 sacks, 9 games with 0 sacks. He also only had 1 sack against a playoff team, despite playing 6 games against playoff teams.

Decent player, but not much more than that.

It would be an absolute “all-in” move for Tampa Bay. If they don’t get a ring in the next two years after making that move, they’ll be ****ed for awhile.

Giving up a top 15 pick to pay a 26 year old DL big money is a “now” move. They’ll still be paying Jones once he starts to decline and won’t have a younger top 15 player from a strong draft.

OL is probably a more pressing need for them, but they need pass rush too. Shaq Barrett will come back to reality. They’ve already lost 6 sacks from Nassib too.

Wouldn’t shock me if they made the trade, but that would be a very shortsighted move for a team with a few major holes.

Tampa isn't trading their 1 for Jones, they need a OT for Brady.

I also wanted to add I've been making fun of Gil Brandt for the better part of 12 years on this site for being old and senile and talking about nonsensical shit, why would it be any better now?

Good luck... always love the NFL draft weekend, fun to see what teams do and then listen to all the armchair GMs pontificate on why it was failed or greatness.

Enjoy.

It will be weird to not hear a cluster of Jets fans booing with their pick...lol.

Seriously, though, not that I ever paid much attention to the fans, but it's going to seem so empty, especially whenever it was going to be an epic time in Vegas.

I agree. I think both would benefit the Chiefs tremendously. I don’t see Reid taking a RB rd. 1, though. I am going to guess CB or LB; my dark horse pick is DE.

Didn’t the Jets fans love the Vernon Gholston pick though?
