Ive always thought he was better than Green.

Green threw too many untimely INTs.

But arguments could be made either way for each.

He'd be a great backup!

He really needs to go to Jax, he can reunite with one of his biggest fans in Meyer and be the perfect bridge/mentor for Lawrence

I'll always appreciate Kendall Fuller for his game sealing pick in the Super Bowl. He wasn't really what I thought he'd be for us here (although he might have had a spot at safety over slot corner), but I'll always remember and appreciate him for that play.

This is actually a pretty good idea. Even if Lawrence is week 1 starter, Smith would be a great guy to have in the QB room for TL (or whomever the Jags take). Mahomes and Kaepernick have both given high praise to Alex for helping them when they were young.

If Meyer wants TL to sit a few games to get up to speed, Smiths right there

Or if TL starts the year but stumbles outta the gate, they can bench him to cool him off and... Smiths right there

Either way, they have a role model for TL and Smitty gets to play a few more games

If he could fill time and get comfortable I think he'd be great...smart and likeable.

Here's their stats as a Chief. Maybe it's just me, but 50-26-0 is a better record than 48-40-0 and 102 TDs to 33 INTs beats 118 TDs to 85 INTs.

Smith was a better QB for KC if you want your QB to be a chickenshit and protect the ball above all else.

Green beats him in all other ways.

He knows the system inside out for sure, the problem is that he can't run for first downs when he's too scared to throw for them anymore

I'm not debating whether Smith or Green was the better QB, I'm just pointing out that maybe Green isn't the 3rd or 4th best QB the Chiefs ever had.
